If you're going to take down my post, just ban me.

So my thread talking about how I think leagues community is being pounded into the ground by more and more bad apples got removed because unannounced to me it was about trying to get people banned, when those weren't even close to my intentions. There's so many things wrong with this I don't even know how to react. I guess I have to get permission to speak my mind now. Noted. Go ahead and ban me from posting here , because I guess there's no point in posting unless all you have is praise about riot and the players of league of legends.

Were you naming people in a negative light, in this thread of yours? That'd probably be the reason it was removed, as it's against the code of conduct to do so.

As far as the Boards is concerned, I think anyone could tell you that I am very critical of Riot in certain aspects. Riot isn't trying to silence constructive criticism, otherwise I would have been banned at least a million times.

The key there is constructive, by the way. Riot gains no value from crap like "u suk I hate Riot they r so greedy", and neither does the community. I know this isn't necessarily related to your topic, but the point still stands. Naming and shaming has pretty much always been something players and Rioters alike don't really appreciate, so if that's what happened it's likely why it was removed.

I didn't name anyone by name, other than the screenshot I put to prove that I was in fact in a 1v5. I never said anything that could be taken as a plea to punish people. As far as I'm concerned someone just didn't like that I was trying to point out that a growing % of the playerbase is becoming more and more toxic. the only person being called names was me, and I expected that.

I think I would have to see the thread to make a judgement, but even a screenshot with the people you're talking about negatively is probably enough for removal. Under what rule did the notification say your thread was deleted?

Says reporting other players. If that picture is the case I can't imagine they couldn't just remove the picture.

I think right now moderation is just set up in the following way:

  • Does the post violate the Universal Rules?
    • Yes: Delete it
    • No: Don't delete it

Except in a VERY few select circumstances (actually, only one, where a 300+ upvote thread was moved to a different board, and I think that was done manually by a Rioter), mods don't have any other options?

I'd like to preemptively clarify that I think mods need better, more personalized options (and I've spoken to Rioters and they agree); I'm just explaining why they can't do that right now.

Second to what daen said. Edit the picture so it has black boxes over the players' names, and as long as you're not naming them in the post, your post shouldn't be removed.

I didn't see your post before, but I've seen this type of feedback a fair number of times. Out of the few I was able to see the original post for I can think of one that was not warranted, and a Rioter actually replied about it to help clarify and apologize.

For the rest it was usually a case of people not knowing the difference between speaking their mind and speaking respectfully. A little tact can turn a run of the mill angry post into a meaningful discussion, and discussion is what these boards are all about. Based on your post here I'd say you're still angry, so I can only suggest you take a few deep breaths, get something warm to drink, and type slowly and calmly next time you're posting about a stressful topic.

From the rest of the discussion, I think this particular case just had to do with a screenshot that included players' names.

I know that one. I made an entire review on the community of just my experiences. Not a single point was positive, but it was removed for not following guidelines and being put on the wrong page.

I gave feedback of these boards, and in game on that review, gave no names whatsoever, worded it kid friendly, and they remove it. It was a simple, honest review for Riot and players to see. I expected downvotes and heat for it, but for Riot to just remove it because I'm not praising everyone disgusts me. I have given far too much money to these people to be brushed off like nothing, I gave my utmost respect in that post, and I got absolutely nothing for it. Words cannot describe how upset and disappointed I am. And that's keeping it "kid friendly."

If it's on the wrong page, regardless of how well it's written, it's going to get deleted. I heavily disagree with this policy, but it's how it is.

This doesn't matter, by the way. The amount of money you have given Riot doesn't (and shouldn't) affect how you're treated.
