Remove up/down voting in Player Behavior & Moderation

This board is all about fostering a healthy community in which discussions can revolve around player behavior systems, in-game suspensions, or boards moderation. This includes topics on how the systems work, insight into why players were punished, and advice to help players improve moving forward.

This is a quote of the culture for the Player Behavior & Moderation section. Personally I don't believe the content of that board actually matches what the culture suggests it should be. People go there specifically to watch rightfully punished people have their world torn down around them.

I just came here from a thread where someone was legitimately asking for help. He is on a 14 day ban and doesn't want to be permabanned. He is panicked and clearly wants to change his ways, and yet the frustration he feels in game leads him toward toxic behavior.

His type of post is far from the norm, I'll admit, and yet at the time I am writing this it is at -13 votes. I posted on his thread in an attempt to help him and even I fell into the habit of downvoting him without even reading his post. I've removed my downvote now, but I think removing the option to vote is something that should be seriously considered.

Up and down votes are a way of sorting posts. Good or well liked posts get up votes, and poor quality or bad posts get downvotes. However Player Behavior & Moderation doesn't need a sorting system like this. Votes often make the poster feel persecuted when the board is supposed to do the exact opposite.

So my suggestion is that the voting system on Player Behavior & Moderation be disabled. General posting behavior in that board needs to be improved drastically, and I don't see the voting system doing anything positive for it.

The upvotes are fine- helpful posts get a lot of upvotes so they get more visibility. But downvotes really don't help anyone, no. Riot said they wanted to remove downvotes from the boards entirely, but they never did. /shrug

I actually dislike downvotes entirely. There's a reason many systems have removed them. Good luck sire.
