I'd like GD to back me up on this.

I made a thread asking for Riot to listen, and they did. They're not going to see us eye-to-eye on everything, but clearly they're trying to make this a comfortable place.

I'll try it. No guarantees of staying.

It beats dealing with mods on GD who ban because you call them out, or ban for no reason, or ban because of something someone else did.

It beats all the troll threads that go on (a few joke threads are okay I suppose).

I suppose I'm willing to try.

I honestly wouldn't have a problem if you could just add numbers to actually navigate through here besides scrolling. Or an option to change it to normal forum style. I like being able to go back to my old posts, but until then I prefer GD.

What do you mean by add numbers?

Also, you do have the option of viewing discussions in the "flat" mode you're more accustomed to (it's up there at the top of the discussions, a blue link that says "show as flat".

Also also, you can return to your old posts at any time by looking in your profile (yes I agree that that's a bit confusing, we're working on that).

Good to know. Thank you. Why doesn't this style still have the vote option though? While I'm not a fan of viewing by most popular, it would allow the Leddit style to still take into account and benefit people that prefer flat mode. Similar to what GD does with thumbs.

FYI, unless I'm missing something, it looks like the ability to view old posts in your profile isn't working. I made an angry comment in Help & Support yesterday, but my profile appears empty. Or does it only track some communities?

Edit -- yeah, this post appears in my profile, so either Help & Support is broken, or it's not included by design. I still think that's worth bringing to somebody's attention!

The reason I don't use the CB is the same reason I don't use Reddit. It's just a big popularity contest. Sure alot of the posts on the regular forums shouldn't be seen or put under a spotlight, but there are posts that are quality, but don't get the attention that they deserve. On the CB, they wouldn't even be seen save for a most recent post section, and even then, with the speed of the forums, they would mostly get ignored.
