Adhering to board guidlines

Could you guys at Riot instead of removing a post and yelling at us for it, could you guys just move it to another place or something. I mean, 3/4 of my posts that have been removed were because I forgot to switch the "Creating a Discussion in" section. The fourth one was because I submitted a bug in Help and Support after getting no response after 5 or so posts in Report a Bug, and then getting it removed for wrong board and I was told to submit it to Report a Bug, but we won't talk about that right now. I mean, if you guys have the time to go peek at every single post and delete it because it's in the wrong board, there's no reason that you guys can't just move it to another board. It would greatly help those forgetful people who don't change their board (especially since the board is automatically set if you clicked a board already instead of being blank), so they can still get their message sent and not be punished by you guys for something that might not be their fault. Sure if someone reposts something on the wrong board again after you go that, sure go ahead and delete it, but for the innocent people who are forgetful in changing the board, this would be helpful.

The reasoning was the if they move it for you, then you know if people create a post in the wrong section, it'll end up in the right one anyway, so they won't think as much about where they are posting, because it doesn't matter, which will lead to more work for the mod team.

Also, when player-created boards exist, there might be multiple communities for the same thing -- for example, maybe there are two dominion communities. If I make a post about Dominion in an ARAM community, it's obviously in the wrong place. But which of the Dominion communities should it be moved to? There isn't a right answer.

THIS does bother me. It should never auto-select a section. I'd guess a fair amount of people post in the wrong section because they don't even realize they have to select a section, or forget.

This might be useful for you.

I mean, if you guys have the time to go peek at every single post and delete it because it's in the wrong board, there's no reason that you guys can't just move it to another board.

So, basically here's how moderation works:

  • When a post is created, a mod looks at the title and maybe the content to see if it's in the wrong board.
    • Since this happens for every post, they're pretty much just skimming for things that are really obviously in the wrong Board, and things that are really obviously spam/inappropriate.
  • Anybody can report a post for being in the wrong section, offensive, spam, or harassment.
    • When this happens, the mods take a closer look at the post.

So, that's how mods have time to look at every post and decide if it's in the wrong section. They only look closely if the post has been reported.

My thread got removed because I made a thread in Boards Feedback with a complaint about Reds not giving me a reason for removing a comment or providing a link to the comment removed.

Gotta say that at least they provided me with the link and a reason, even told me I should post it in Help & Support... the best part it's aganist guidelines of Help & Support.

It's like in this classic Twitch response:

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)╯╲___卐卐卐卐 Don't mind me just taking my mods for a walk.

I was about to actually submit a ticket about it, but - guess what - there is no proper category to choose! Let's shoot. Hopefully "Game and Features/Feedback" is the most suitable one.
