What the hell happened there?

When I first started in the forums, I went to GD and it was a place where people could talk and have a good time.

Now it seems to be filled with Reddit-esqe people (Ironic, eh?) that do nothing but berate everyone.

I feel like forum mods should be afraid to even touch that place.

I know this will be downvoted to hell but is there anything we can do for GD? Perhaps tighten the rules so as we can treat each other as human beings on all sites promoted by Riot themselves?

Just checked it out. Seeing as 90% of the content doesn't seem to be esports-related, I wouldn't necessarily call it "Reddit-esque."

Fucking esports. I hope that whole branch of gaming goes bankrupt, it's such a waste of time. And the esports "athletes" get worked like a bunch of slaves. It is a travesty that it exists.

But thanks for warning me never to go on Reddit.

Not entirley. There are some genuinely good people there, that are a hell of a lot of fun to talk to. But in general, it's just a cesspool of hatred and rage.

Not venting like on the gameplay forums, but rather hatred towards each other that seems to go completely unnoticed

They are eventually going to delete it in its entirety. They're working on a post tagging system, and once they finish it they're majorly reducing the number of subboards we have (including the GD's).

Also, Just because Riot is pulling another #Soon doesn't mean that they shouldn't IGNORE GD and it's problems.

That was just a small change to try to fix the problem of the very underused subboards, like Maps and Modes. They do want a bigger overhaul in the future.

They're not ignoring the GD. In fact, in the past few months they created a new player mod type just for the GD. It's just being left that way instead of being immediately deleted because there was major protest to any form of changing it.
