Private messages
Man would I like to ask some better player who seem helpful questions now and then, but there is no private messaging feature that I can find.

I'm a little confused as to what you're referring to; is the feature you're requesting a private messaging feature on the Boards? If so, this is easily one of the most requested features by the community so you'll find a lot of support there.
