Remember the pristine, white, almost beautiful forum we had? Remember?!!!! Who was stupid enough to make the decision, on behalf of the ppl who actually use the forum ofc, to have this instead? I would like to see this person's face, preferrably while he was making the decision. No, actually, I would like to study his mind. In fact, it's such a recklessly tasteless decision that I have doubts one person could be stupid enough to make it. It must be a result of social conformity, or whatever. Whats worse: the reason we have this stupid mess of a forum, I hear, is because apparently riot's forum police weren't making our lives miserable enough. Because everyone knows in order to have a forum one must make everyone's life miserable by deleting any thread with an ounce of genuine humour, because thats the only way everyone can be happy.

It's because of idiocy like this that we have this rubbish forum to deal with.

The board should have pages, it's a pain if you wanna read old threads.

The Discussion view needs to sort out the issue where a giant discussion always turn into a colossal orgy.

We need the ability to attach more than 1 picture per post if you're not simply pasting a pic url, also one should be able to attach picture through editing his already published post.

And there is also that issue if you're using the chronological view just like the old forum, it turns out pretty awful to read for those who uses the default view format. And ofc vice versa. Better transition between the 2 views is required.

This entire board is where we all seem to gather and complain about the boards. :P

I have doubts one person could be stupid enough to make it.

I seriously doubt the forum switch was a single person's decision.

the reason we have this stupid mess of a forum, I hear, is because apparently riot's forum police weren't making our lives miserable enough before. Because everyone knows in order to have a forum one must make everyone's life miserable by deleting any thread with an ounce of genuine humour, because thats the only way everyone can be happy.

The reason we have this forum is primarily that the old forum couldn't properly scale with the size of the community. Bringing back the old platform is not an option, so trying to force that to happen will accomplish absolutely nothing.

As for the moderation, I both agree and disagree. The moderation is generally accurate so it's not oppression like you seem to think, but it's also pretty inadequate since the only way it addresses content is by permanently deleting it and telling the player "hey you screwed up, don't do it again".

Honestly? I'm a bit frustrated with the Boards team. It has been months since the last update, and there are still core features we really should have had from the start that are still missing. Here are some examples:

  • Search functionality is almost completely broken
  • Board differentiation is not logical in some scenarios
  • Multiple formatting options have been disabled
  • The platform functions poorly on some mobile devices
  • Discussion and Chronological views have very little parity

The list goes on. I'm not saying I'm mad at Riot or anything, but it's a little saddening that their main communication platform is either not a priority or is this difficult to work on.
