Mobile site is atrocious...

I'm not normally someone to complain, but I have just used your new mobile boards and they are not good at all.

I cannot tell if I am logged in. I cannot make new posts or threads. I cannot upvote or downvote. I cannot see upvotes or downvotes. The View Full Site link has no cookie so you keep on getting put back on the mobile site. The menu scrolls you down to the bottom of the page. It should be a hovering menu.

Please can you add these basic features to the mobile site? Because otherwise it is almost pointless.

I have addressed all these points in that thread. This release was not intended to be a fully functional, polished release, but was to improve the mobile viewing experience.

I mean, why are you guys releasing a completely unfinished website?

It's okay if it's like a beta test, and you're searching for feedback and suggestions. But you need to add these very basic things first, otherwise all feedback will just be that and nothing else.

As an example, it's okay to put an unfinished game up for beta test, but it's NOT okay to put a "game" where you're hovering over a 2D green polygon and then ask for constructive feedback when there's no room for feedback to give, other than "finish it".

BetaDude40 hit the nail on the head. You've released something that is forced on all mobile users and IS NOT EVEN FUNCTIONAL. And it actually makes the viewing experience far worse.

If you're using Chrome on your device, hit settings on the top and click on the button that says "Request desktop site", then it will be the one you used prior to the update.

I've tried that, Chrome's settings still get overridden.

At least make it so that the "request desktop site" option isn't overridden by the mobile site. I just want to not have to load every page twice.
