The I Agree message is patronising and does nothing to help anyone

Why should I agree that I won't leave any more games when it's the game's fault that I couldn't connect?

Really, game? Well how comes I can load web pages? How comes Skype and Steam are both absolutely fine? How comes every other program I have that requires an internet connection works fine? How comes I can connect to the League of Legends website, but not connect to this game? Who's fault is that? I don't think it's mine.

I finally managed to get in, and 6 minutes and 10 seconds had passed. My game was laggy as hell, I had a very confusing bug where turrets appeared as alive on my mini-map but were actually dead, but I still managed to save Xin Zhao from dying with my Heal and Rupture. My team were nice and understood why I couldn't connect. The game ended in 11 minutes.

Please fix this damn firewall bug, please fix this random 'you have disconnected from the internet' bug. And for fuck's sake, REWORD THE I AGREE BOX THAT APPEARS SHOULD YOU BE UNABLE TO CONNECT TO A GAME. It is incredibly patronizing and players CANNOT GUARANTEE that they won't leave again in the future. You're basically binding players into a contract they can't fulfill. EVERYONE has had a connection issue or their game crash or something happen, NO ONE can promise that they won't leave future games. And on top of that, genuine AFKers don't care, they'll type I Agree and continue doing what they do.

Reword the I Agree I Will Never Leave A Match Again message to I Understand That Leaving Negatively Affects Others And I Will Try Best Not To Do Leave Games. Because not a single person on this planet can keep the promise of never leaving a game.

An extra edit: Generally, when something like this happens, I've always found that my best bet is exiting League of Legends completely and logging in again. I think there was a way to load the game up and skipping logging back in, but if anyone knows where that is, would be of a lot of value.

How is it patronizing? It's just there to let you know that Leaver Buster exists. The "I agree" isn't to say you won't DC again, it's to say you'll try your best not to. They know the wording sucks right now.

If you don't do it habitually (whether you're at fault or not), then don't worry about it. If you do, then the message applies to you.

Btw, Riot already agrees the wording is not that great. It's just inconsequential and a low priority to change it.

I don't always get DC'ed, but when I do, my champions runs under turret and it's a free kill for anyone sigh

I used to have the same problem you describe.Read everything about how to open ports and shit or exceptions in your firewall,blah,blahh,blah.It didn't work.Then i uninstalled my firewall and installed another one.Did some normal tweaks.And that problem is gone.I'm not saying it could fix your problem but it's worth a try.

Yeah that pop up box is patronizing and insulting and they should get rid of it.

In my case, I didn't even get kicked from the internet or anything else, the game just literally broke and wouldn't let me in for some reason; I left it for a good while before I close the application to try and reenter.

The issue is that no matter how they word it people are going to complain and realistically you have nothing to worry about unless it's a constant issue in which case then you shouldn't be playing unless and until that issue is fixed. The system has lots of built in leniency since Riot knows real life does happen so you get quite a bit of leeway.

I've had my share of isp issues along with the dreaded firewall bug etc and yet since S1 have never gotten a single ban let alone Leaverbuster warning other than the generic one. There's far more important things to worry about than a simple semantic popup that again unless you're a repeat offender means nothing.

Now that's not to say some word changes can't help since there's also that small % of people who may not know any better.

While I have only had to encounter this once. I think how it should be done is writing what caused the issue. I'm sure riot would know assuming they read these when someone gets disconnected from the game in their end. And who just closes they game just because! I'm sure people would write that they got disconnected to try and abuse the system but if they go through each one I'm sure they can sort out the liars!

Some of the issues are also related to Java and Flash and how they interact with each other. That's why I mainly use Chrome and 64 bit IE with a lot of stuff tweaked since I'm very aware of the security issues/flaws with different browsers.

You might have to reinstall the client, I had to do that last time i got that bug and it was actually due to a Windows update. If you're on 8/8.1 then a full reinstall is needed and don't try out the 10 preview right now since League and it don't get along well.

Bump. I have been disconnected from league but had facebook and skype working perfectly many times. I did find it rather insulting when I had to agree that I would never disconnect again even though I never tried to in the first place.

I'm suffering of random disconnect spikes (I can see the game progress but my character is frozen) and all I can remember is LeaveBuster's post and various Red posts saying "Fuck you your problem"

Repair client, Update graphics card etc., follow this - http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/peVhMJAo-the-wrenchmens-toolbox-common-solutions-to-your-problems-technical-issues - and, if that doesn't work, send in a Help and Support TIcket. Riot is happy to help you connect.

The fact of the matter is that if you disconnect frequently then you know that you are frequently ruining games for other people. This is not fair. Following the instructions above normally does the trick. In 99.99% of cases (made up number, but it is really high) it is not a problem on Riot's end.

So yeah. After each attempted fix remember to test your connection in a custom game and not a matchmade game.

Kinda hard to think of this as legitimate when you watch someone get kicked out of their league game, check their connection (working fine), restart their client (get warning), and still can't connect to the game.
