Ok first off, I think it's dumb that you can't reply to multiple people on a thread with any kind of speed....but that's beside the point here as I actually do have a useful suggestion.

Make this message last until you're able to comment again. I was under the impression that I could comment when it went away, but nope. Click it and get the message again. Just have the message sit there until you're able to send the comment.
