So today I received a chat restriction, however I hardly type in chat. And when I do it's never anything offensive. I received the restriction after going bot as the midlaner and taking the adc's farm. I know that wasn't cool etc. etc. but why did I receive a chat restriction for this??
You were given a Reform Card in your client with chat logs of a few of your games, show those.
They gave you a slap on the wrist. You were harassing your teammates. Be happy it wasn't a temp ban. They're giving you a chance to reform your behavior.
The other people may have gotten disciplinary measures as well if they mirrored the toxic behavior you exhibited. However, as a privacy policy, Riot will not disclose anything about other players disciplinary measures to others.

you are correct. you should not have recieved a chat restriction. riot should have given you a 14 day ban for griefing
Nothing major, based on your chat logs, but yea, definite red flags for riot, enough for a small warning ban.
Negative behavior and Harassment towards a teammate
This is strike one for you, keep in mind, another instance like this in the next few weeks, could be suspension. Riot only judges us by our words and actions, not how or why we said them.
