Hypothetical Question. What if there was a 100% effective method of detecting all cheaters?

WHAT IF there was a 100% effective method of detecting, all cheaters, scripters, griefers, twitch troll channels, pre-made troll teams, ip farm bots, elo boosters, elo boostees, DDS attackers, and every other form of ranked cheating out there....

....Do you think that Riot Games would implement it? Personally, I don't think I'm not sure that they would, what do you think?

Catching all the cheaters doesn't mean it won't interfere with the innocent players. That is where Riot must draw a line; they would rather let a few bad people get away than to punish an innocent player.

If the system neither interfered with the client or game, nor caught innocent players in its wake, then of course they'd use it as long as it wasn't somehow unethical or illegal.

Your poll question sounds a bit different from the post, though; it says "eliminate", while you say "detect" before that. The answer may vary depending on the actions Riot would choose.

Obviously would depend on the possible downsides of the system. If you are however asking for a hypothetical system that has no downsides, you answered your own question: If there are no downsides there is obviously no reason not to implement it.

They'd implement a way to catch them sure, so I Voted yes. HOWEVER would they start issuing out loss preventions or no lp losses ect? Probably not

The answer is NO because a 100% effective method already exists... it is called playing on LAN and is used for all professional matches. Obviously, even though this method already exists, RIOT will not implement it for ranked.

The thing is RIOT is always going to consider more factors than what others suggest when they get tunnel vision. Just how hard is it to implement this 100% effective method? Are there other adverse consequences? Don't take a narrow view.
