Please Riot, Harsher Punishments

Every game now in League has at least one toxic person, one feeder, and one player who is constantly spam pinging the missing ping. It's getting so bad I don't even feel like playing the game anymore. A single mistake will cost you spam pings and flaming in chat.

Last game I had a Katarina in the bot lane with Sivir in the mid. Obviously bot lane get destroyed and our jungler Lee Sin began calling everyone in our team "trash" and "noobs" and constantly sending negative comments. He was making fun of peoples' levels, match history, and gameplay. It was a horrible game where he always came in after the fight was over and essentially cleaned up the fight, taking little risk for himself and getting the kills. He wasn't even good enough to carry with those kills. Just started spamming in chat about his score compared to ours and how we were so beneath him.

Toxic players aren't very afraid of the consequences of negative attitudes and it's really ruining the game. League is fun, but the players are ruining it all. I just want a more defined punishment where every player knows that if they do this, or they get reported, they will receive a punishment. Many people don't care about getting or sending reports because they don't feel like it works and to be honest I'm one of them. I've reported multiple toxic players and have only gotten 1-3 punishment confirmations. It makes me mad that people get away with this and I'm thinking of quitting League of Legends now.

I could see mutes being more common.

They already throw out permanent bans pretty easily though...

It happens, you can mute both ping and players though, so there is good news.

As far as only receiving a few notifications of action taken; that does not mean action wasn't taken. You only get notified if your report was the one to trigger the system. It is important to note that they try to make sure something is a pattern before punishing, except zero tolerance cases.

So that Lee, while may not be punished for that game does have a mark on his account. In a near future game he may get reported and punished but you would not get a notification. It is a flaw that Riot would like to address if I remember from an older post. Also, remember, 1 report does the same as 9; so no need to try and rally or ask for reports.
