I'm sure Riot already know, since it was Morello who introduced EC to me a few years ago. It seems that the Riot devs decided to do stuff their own way, and because they are professionals, they have, at their own responsibility, every right to not do it like EC.
But based god lyte hates the idea of a mute button and silencing them.
Lyte wants to reform the trash of the community in huggable care bares
How pitiable is someone's life that part of their self worth is invested in a video game as this video implies? Look up the book Nerd Psychology by Alex Hinkley on Amazon. It talks about this, specifically with League of Legends. If you are playing a game to get an ego boost rather than to have fun, you have mental problems.
Riot already knows this. Everyone already knows this. The content of the video consisted of things that were shallow, facile, or pandering when it wasn't just plain wrong (Professional sports organizations can and have issued punishment for player conduct and "trash-talk".)
And the video's true purpose was clearly just to sneak in subliminal pro-Zed propaganda : p
Maybe one day, Riot might actually listen to people who know what to do...
Awesome videos. o7

I think Riot's Chat Restriction is their version of Auto-Mute.
The only issue I've ever had with Riot's policy towards toxicity was when ranked restricted players were dumped into normal draft to win their way back to ranked access. So, I guess I disagreed with their attempts at rehabilitation and would rather have just had the hammer brought down on them (account suspensions, chat removal, play games without getting reported rather then Play/Win X games).
Also, that YouTuber has an illustrated history of the Punic Wars. I'm totally going to watch the shit out of that later on.
Pretty decent.
I like the auto-mute idea -- if someone has a tendency to be muted by others, start them muted by default.
One can only hope riot agrees with these videos.
