The one form of toxicity I'm surprised I still see so often...

Now let me start off by saying I am bad. I am very bad at this game, and even though I ALWAYS try my best, alot of times things don't go well. I experience my team hating on me in more games than not.

But there is one form of toxicity that I still see VERY often, and it makes NO sense to me.

"Report [insert name here] for unskilled"

The "unskilled" option was removed as a report category a long freaking time ago, so why do people still say this so damn often? Honestly, it makes zero sense. When I found out that the unskilled category for reports was removed, I was happier than a little boy on christmas day! Now people wouldn't make me feel guilty for sucking by reporting me, and telling others to do so as well.

Except...That isn't the case.

People can't get it through their thick skulls that you can't simply report somebody because they played badly, or because they had a bad game anymore. If I go 3/11/2 as Yorick top lane you can't report me, because I tried my best, I did not play badly on purpose.

I always try my best when I play, I would never feed intentionally, yet people still ask people to report me in all chat for unskilled. when they can't anymore.

That report was mainly just a thing to help people vent frustration, but a video game shoudn't need to have a "vent my anger" button. If your angry over something that happened in a video game go squeeze a stress ball or something, the game itself doesn't need to be your stress ball. That's what the boards are for, like this post. XD

sigh I apologize if this post was rude at all...This just happens to me so often and it makes zero sense. I cannot understand why people still say this when its a thing that is no longer possible, if somebody could like explain to me why people still say this when its not even a thing you can report for anymore, that would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot understand it.

TL:DR (Whatever that means, idk actually.) People asking to report for something that isn't reportable makes no sense, and I cannot understand why people do this.

By the way that gif I posted earlier I found on the boards, is not mine. So whoever made that comment that allowed me to save such a picture (I forgot you you are, sorry.) thank you very much. You, whoever posted it where I found it, thanks. ^^

I hope whoever reads this has a great day! Best of luck on the rift!

Players misunderstood what the "Report for Unskilled" option meant anyway. It wasn't something that would get a player banned. Instead developers tend to use that option early on in a game's development to help them tune their matchmaking system when they don't have a large volume of games to base their analytics off of. That's not the case with League anymore.

I guess Riot finally discovered most of those were bots.

Most of them probably know that it is gone, it is just the snotty jab they happened to choose.

The kind of people who want to report someone for being unskilled would know it is gone by now.
