...Doesn't mean you ever get to go AFK, or to start feeding.

You joined the match, play to the end. It doesn't matter what trivial excuse you come up with. It doesn't matter if you're literally 5 unranked players against TSM. It doesn't matter if half the team's already AFK. If there's even one other player on your team who hasn't already given up, you keep playing. Unless you or your wife is literally going into labor right then and there, or it's a life or death situation, you keep playing.

You never get the right to screw over your teammates. Ever. It's in the terms, it's in the rules, it's in the fucking Summoner's Code, as little attention you give to it as you might:

Straight from the website. I mean, even pre-30's manage to not go AFK. What's your excuse?

And, yes, sitting in base and spamming surrender votes does count as going AFK. Even if you're still technically connected and at the keyboard. Just because the automated system doesn't pick up on it doesn't mean it's allowed.

I would agree on most of this. Going AFK because the game is going against you or intentionally feeding are both low. I almost never leave a game I've started, or even go AFK for part of it. But it's only a game. Limiting it to life and death situations is unreasonable. If I need the bathroom, I'm going to AFK and go. I'm not going to sit in my chair and wet myself. Or if my little sister comes in and tells me that the toilet is flooding, or my mom calls to say her car died and she needs a ride to work ASAP (both real examples for which I have had to leave a game in the past), I'm going to leave. Real life takes precedence over a game.

If two people are intentionally holding the game hostage, most people in my experience will feed or afk to make the game end faster, which I think is perfectly okay. [sg-ahri-2]

I DISAGREE 100%. If a game is down the drain hard, there is legitimately no way out. IF a person just mentally cannot handle it, I think they should be allowed to afk post 20 if the game is so south its unwinnable. Sometimes team mates who don't surrender are the problem.

Thats bullshit. You have every right to go AFK if people on your team are already AFK. Nobody should be forced to tryhard in an already lost game.

...Comebacks can and do happen. Personally, I will surrender if I see three other yes votes though... unless I can actually explain exactly why I think we still stand a chance. And if they don't agree with me and the time has run out I will vote yes the next time it comes up because I don't think 2 people should be able to hold a game hostage.

Dude if the game is 20-1 before mid game you bet your ass I'm getting as far away from my PC as possible. I have had too many games where people have said "We can win" and we ended up getting dicked for 20 minutes when I could be in another game WINNING. I usually know when the game is over and thankfully the majority of the time my teammates know too.

Yeah this is a very cute post but I promise you if I am in a game, losing hard as shit with a toxic duo flaming but not allowing us to surrender, I am going to go do other stuff. I will not be held hostage in a video game by two bffs whose only seeming joy in life is tormenting strangers. I've dealt with toxic premades since I started this game, and I now have a zero tolerance policy for it. If it results in leaverbuster or penalties against my account so-be-it.
