"Ping me again"

Funny story / question

Words spoken by a vayne in one of my matches last night.

They were angry that our support was pinging them too much (subjective, imo it was not spam) and said "ping me again" after a long winded rude statement directed at the team. A few seconds go by and just for laughs i start spamming pings on him and so did the rest of the team. We thought it was fucking hillariois but vayne left the game =(

We still won the game 4v5 for a while then vayne came back and didnt say another word just played and we won.

Given the above circumstances would you consider spamming pings like the team did harassment? I mean he DID ask us to after all...

Id say yes it could fall under that. Is it going to get you banned? most likely not.

If someone asks you to stop bothering them, you should stop bothering them. You don't get to decide what someone else finds stressful or annoying and overrule them. See also: every law ever written concerning bullying or sexual harassment. I mean, really, you need that explained to you? In 2016? Come on, man.

And the map pings drive some people crazy because most map pingers are so ridiculously freaking stupid.

Like, you don't need to spam danger !'s at someone who is mid-combat. They know they're in danger. You're just creating a distraction in the middle of a tense situation, not helping in any way, at all. Similarly, you don't need to !!!!! at people who are already running away from the thing you're !!!!!ing about. You don't need to blanket the bushes in map pings when we're standing next to each other, and we both just watched that guy walk into the bushes. I mean, if I'm not blind, I already know, and if I AM blind, I can't see your map pings either, can I?

It's awesome when someone uses map pings to alert you about something that isn't obvious, but 90% of !!!!!!!! pings are really just someone being a spazzy control freak who's trying to micromanage his/her team via the map. Go play an RTS if you want psychotic levels of control over everything in your field of vision.

I mean he was a vayne player, you should have expected him to react childishly to a joke.

I get pretty annoyed with pings I don't find useful as well, especially since there's no way to turn them off. I wouldn't have reacted the same way, but I definitely wouldn't have been nice about telling you off about spam pinging.

I have pings muted because I'm sick of people spamming them at me.

Whether you think it's spam or not is irrelevant. When I ask politely for you to ping me less, please do it.

It's a way to tilt your team that can't be detected by the system like words, honestly.

Well you harassed him. What did you expect?

There's a limit to everything.

If somebody screwed, you don't need to remind them about it until they get fed up with you. It's counter-productive and if you didn't see it coming, thinking it's funny...

Let's say that you should be thankful for having that Vayne on your team, because if I was there I'd not simply quit, but make that game a living hell for you.

Also, what he actually meant by saying "ping me again" was a warning. Too short-sighted to notice something so obvious, eh?
