Like Oregano, I, too, had to line up at the end of every game and high five and say "Good game" to the other team. Didn't matter how the game went. Frankly, back then, I didn't care if I won or lost. With the way our little league games were set up, I was never on a winning team. But I just wanted to play back then. Winning was nothing. Losing was nothing as well.
Now, in multiplayer video games, people are supposed to do the same thing. But for me, a "gg" has to be hard fought and well earned. A fifteen minute landslide win or loss won't get a "GG" out of me. And anyone who says otherwise in that kind of situation is, in my view, a friggin, insincere clout. That being said, a thirty minute plus game where we are clearly winning but the other side refuses to surrender will get an honorable opponent reward. But I only do that in such cases because it's more common for people to just give up nowadays and I hate quitters.
I once posted in another gaming forum that it was not always a "gg" and people lamblasted me for it saying I was not in the spirit of competition and being a sore loser. I'm not a sore loser. But I'm not going to offer false praise on anything in life.
