Why is "refusing to communicate" bad?

I know I'm painting a target on myself, but recently, I've been muting my teammates and the enemy, because I know they'll tilt me, because, well i'm in high bronze/low silver. I usually do better on these games when I mute everyone else and I'm not being distracted by chat, but I still ping but some say it is not enough.

Thoughts?

You are communicating with you team still. verbal communication is just one way to communicate with you team, you opted for pings isntead You're choosing to not tilt by reading chat, so good on you

"refusing to communicate" is no longer a reportable offense.

I think you are stuck in an old paradigm.

Pings** are **communication if you actually do ping efficiently. If you don't let your teammates know in advance then you should try, it helps them out to know why you may not be typing c:
