Being trolled 2 games in a row is not fun

1st game after my adc doing badly early to mid game, our Garen just went tilted plus toxic towards the rest of us then refuse to cooperate or communicate with team thus literally did nothing to help the team while he just farming his top lane and jungle by himself. While the rest of us defending mid lane with 5 opposing players pushing into our Nexus. 2nd game, met another troll pyke who just afk after mid game and never return, while enemy Vayne just love spamming ggez entire game then trash talking our team. Oh the joy of playing League these days.....

So, the first game, you're saying he didn't play how you wanted him to, thus he's a troll. That is not how it works. If he thought he wasn't going to help in teamfights, that's his decision. You may think it was the wrong one, but you aren't the team boss (nor is anyone), and him not doing what you want does not make it a troll.

The second game, again, this Pyke wasn't trolling - AFKing is not trolling, it's at best griefing, but even then it's only griefing if they're trying to avoid AFK detection. LeaverBuster detects and punishes AFKs even if they're moving, even if they're using abilities, buying items, etc. They must be taking meaningful action or else they'll get punished for AFKing.

I get your 2nd point. But that Garen in my 1st game really made me frustrated. We did tried to talk to him politely, but he refuse and just straight up being mean and toxic towards us. It's like trying to carry a dead weight in the game.

I understand that's how you feel, and I'm not saying you're wrong to be frustrated. But being frustrated at someone does not mean they're doing anything wrong, and it certainly doesn't mean they're a troll suddenly.

How do you know that was their intent? Do you have a crystal ball or some insight I do not?

We have limited info here and there is nobody that knows their intent but the player themselves. You cannot attempt to say "they intentionally did this and were trolling" based on the information OP provided.

Im just saying you always seem to be defending people that supposedly ruined a game, as opposed to anything else

But see, I'm defending them because very rarely is there ever enough information provided to even begin to suggest that they were actually doing something to intentionally ruin a game.

No, I'm not "completely fine" with those.. but I understand that you can't steal a role until the game actually starts and you go a role other than assigned. Until then, it's an off meta pick. Again, you don't have a crystal ball. If you do, please let me know as I'd love one.

Dude, you're misleading, combative, and most of all unhelpful. The other moderators carry themselves much better than you so I'm surprised you even have the position. I ask you bring more respect to your role in the future.

I encourage you to point out where in this thread I have been misleading or combative. You entered this thread making baseless accusations against me and saying I don't deserve the advisor tag. That is the definition of combative and misleading.

That's cool - if they feel your feedback is worth it they'll certainly forward it on to me. As I said, I always welcome feedback from people, be it positive or negative, in any manner they feel comfortable submitting it.

I look forward to eventually getting your feedback and hopefully using it to improve if I can :)

I hope so too, because I've only seen but one or two posts in years on this board where you were helpful. You teeter upon the edge of rudeness, if not blatantly crossing it in many threads. You've even targeted my threads for a short time personally, following one to the next.

Honestly, your very last response you just made about being an advisor and hoping you get the feedback is the BEST attempt at decency I've seen you make, although I doubt its sincerity.

In the event you are sincere, I suggest you work on your approach so others don't end up as mistaken as I am.

See, I'm in a boat where I have multiple people on both sides - who think I'm too blunt, and who think my bluntness is necessary to get through to some people. I would be happy to discuss with you where I stand on this (I try to find middle ground), but I'd like to point out I do not believe bluntness is in and of itself rude. I understand that some people do think bluntness is inherently rude, or at least when used a lot.

It's complicated because my goal is that anyone who comes here legitimately not understanding their punishment understands it, and can avoid getting punished in the future.. but also that people who happen across threads with misinformation (by google, searching the boards, link by a friend, etc) don't see threads with wrong information - and to meet that second goal inherently requires calling people out on their misinformation, which I understand can be seen as rude.

That being said, I think we should take this to another thread and/or discord/in-client-chat if we wanna continue as this is really off topic by now.

No, it has nothing to do with with bluntness. You yourself are full of misinformation and hypocrisy. I know from past history even before you got that position that arguing with you won't end well and we don't see eye to eye even on off topic things. You've called me fascist a couple of times along with an entire other list of grievances that I've already given to Riot. I don't need to join a discord to continue further. Anything else I have to say will be in pursuit through channels above or around you.

Do what I do, disable all chat. Or at the very least mute the vayne. There's no benefit to having it open, it won't help your gameplay. And scumbags like that exist everywhere, you can't control them or stop them. If you must keep all chat open, just mute players who say stuff like that, and report them after the game so Riot knows you detest that behavior. The more of us there are reporting people - even teammates - for that behavior, the more likely it is that Riot will take action about it.
