My team lost a game thanks to AFKS. Just because Zyra and her team won, she tends to talk very cocky and shows no sportmenship. She then proceed to talk in the chat as in the game is very easy. If easy, why didnt they win the game in 20 min or less? Even my team has AFK, we manage to stretch the game till over 45 min. Just because she's Gold V doesnt give her the right to talk thrash and show no respect to other players.

And yes, I completely hate it when people (even from my own team) go ahead and just say "ez" in /all chat. It's unsportsmanlike and rude. The opponents don't deserve to hear that...

And it's not because people are "sensitive" to these words. It's a general inconvenience and is just an annoying thing to look at with little-to-no prevention (you can't see it coming, otherwise you'd mute them) and it's... just... annoying. Like, why do people have to show no sportsmanship over a game?

In the world of sports, at the end of the game you shake hands with your opponents and say good game, being respectful in victory and defeat. There's no reason why you should behave differently in a different gaming medium.
When people say it in games I play, I report them and carry on with my life. It doesn't affect me, but it does show that said player is not being sportsmanlike and is therefore someone I do not wish to see playing the game again.

Clearly you havent watched many lately. Fights break out on a game by game basis. It's all personal opinion I guess. I don't think that someone is necessarily overly sensitive if they don't want to be ridiculed for not playing well in a video/PC game that they're trying to enjoy. Surely someone with high self esteem who is strong willed is not going to allow some spineless arrogant punk on the internet to insult them just because if they didn't allow it they would be branded overly sensitive? I just don't need to be told that I'm a bad player because I had a bad game, which is why I don't do lame stuff like that when I win.

Anyways, if you really do have high self-esteem, you won't let something said over the internet rattle you. What I'm trying to say is that yes, its not nice to insult someone's skill over the internet, but it's not offensive either. There's a line you have to cross to be offensive and it usually involves insulting aspects or qualities of a person that are uncontrollable or can't be changed, ie: race, intelligence, gender, religion, nationality. Insulting a person's skill is something that not only can be improved but is also subject to different interpretation, like I could say someone is trash at a champion, but someone in bronze elo might consider the player good in comparison. Basically, you shouldn't be offended by someone insulting a trait that you acquired on your own and can change at your own volition. It's still bad manners and not nice, but just like real life some people are nice and some people are not, and the mean people are not always going to suffer repercussions for their attitude even if you think they deserve it.
