Literally people expect me to "be respectful" when they can barely be respectful to me, calling me "autistic", "Jackass", along with several other things,
yet I get in trouble when they were far worse, and they get off Scott free, I'm "disrespectful" when they are but not nearly as bad, is it really SO WRONG to reflect the amount of respect they give me? (Which isn't much)
Kuthillick4 votesThe answer actually is to mute them. You are responsible for your own actions and speech in any situation, even retaliation. If you are unable to keep yourself from retaliating in a negative manner towards your teammates then yes, mute them all.
Also - As far as I know there are very few ways for summoners to check that other summoners got away "scott free". Just because you didn't receive a popup saying someone was punished doesn't mean they weren't, just that your report was not the one that triggered the automatic system.
Basically - If you can't stop from retaliating or people are tilting you with chat, just mute. You are still responsible for your actions no matter the situation.

If this summoner gets punished for (we'll just assume) this one game instance. Then it must have been pretty bad for the other person to not get punished as well, unless this summoner forgot to report.

Most provocation and flaming in league is to try and get a response from others. Thus, by not responding, you're actually being the bigger person and actually probably not giving them satisfaction, thus they are less likely to troll.
MysterQ1 votesWe will never have the entire answer. But if nontrolls get punished because they fall for a bait BUT trolls don't get punished then the system is broken.
Not everyone who flames is a troll by initial intention. So it isn't like you are taking away troll satisfaction in those cases either.

The system is automated... it just scans for keywords in your chat log. Humans don't read it.
quality moderation! the person may say like "artistic" (obviously trying to avoid any "triggers" here), and just be describing the situation to another and get in trouble for it, which would be unfair.

What a dumbass standard, makes no sense really, I mean what if they were just showing their chat log for an appeal or counter argument with a guy on forums trying to get them in trouble?
zPOOPz1 votesIt takes like 15-20 seconds for me to hit the report button and type out a description of what I find disagreeable. Manual reviews do happen every so often. You stack enough reports with your passive-aggressive, one day it will land on someone's queue. If you are a purposeful toxic person (passive-aggressive is toxic. There is not a single person on earth who enjoy passive-aggressiveness), you are likely to do some stupid shit that will get you reviewed anyway. Besides, I'm the kind of guy who will report each and every single GG EZ with description on why I find it unacceptable.
Ban is handed out for severity and FREQUENCY. You stack enough reported games for mild toxicity and you'll find yourself punished just as well as your one racial slurs game. My report on your GG EZ or passive-aggressive may just be the trigger for a review of your account. GG EZ or passive-aggressive may not be THAT toxic, but are you really sure you don't have other more serious toxic dirt the system won't find on your account should my report trigger a review???
A 20-60 seconds of my time for a chance to trigger a review on your passive-aggressive ass is well worth time spent....I literally have nothing to lose with my report other than 60 seconds.
