I have a friend that takes the game too seriously

Most of my friends don't play this game anymore save for one. Unfortunately this is a person who has a very... stressful personality. I could say intimidating I don't really know him that well tbh but I feel obligated to play with him because we're the only one in our social clique that doesn't play every once in a blue moon. Doesn't seem to make mistakes. He doesn't speak much but when he does it's usually criticism. He's very good too. He's the most mechanical player I've ever seen, plays with challengers a lot. Of course this means when he's duos with a silver scrub like me I'm way out of his league, so he gets mad at me for doing stuff like surrendering, not warding a specific spot, not ganking enough, etc. He doesn't seem to ever have anything good to say about me. But he continues inviting me to games, and I accept because I'm worried he'll get mad at me and I'll lose the only person that still plays this game on a regular basis with me. League just isn't much fun when you're solo.

What do?

I echo the sentiments that you should learn from your friend to become a better player. I only wish I had someone who wants to help me improve.

I suppose I have the same problem. I take my gaming very seriously. And while I do game to have fun, I also play to win. Winning is fun. But that's just me. I don't personally know a lot of other people who do that.
