yet i can't go a day without people using race based insults and using terms like "lynch" so loosely

Maskedmorlals... ESRB’s rating of League Of Legends is “T”. Which means teenagers at the age of 13 could be saying a name that breaks the summoner’s code. I understand where you’re coming from talking about the uses of the word “Lynch” but you know the rules and “o f*ck” breaks them

I’m not able to find any recent punishments on an account matching “o fuck” - so it’s possible the name was either force changed by Riot or maybe I’m just not putting the right combination of spaces in it.

Regardless, we will not comment on other accounts suspensions publicly on the boards. If you wish to discuss the suspension with us, you’re free to submit a support ticket from that account or to contact us in the Boards Moderation Discord server.

because i changed the name, idc that the account is banned. but riot needs to start being consistent with their punishments.

We try to be as consistent as possible with punishments on accounts. If an inappropriate name is found on the boards, one of a few things can happen, depending on their activity and posting history (i.e. if they’re making 2 posts an hour as of the second we see it, or if they haven’t posted in a week).

If they haven’t posted in a while, their account will be flagged for a name change the next time they log in.
If they are continually posting when we see it, the above may happen as well as a boards suspension until they log in and change their name

Boards suspensions are intended to prevent the name from being used to post more comments on the boards. If you’re seeing cases where inappropate names are continuing to post, please don’t hesitate to bring them to our attention in the discord server I linked you.

i know why you guys do it, my problem is riot needs to be thorough and stop letting racist people play the game

Sadly we have no authority over people in game - we’re just the volunteers who moderate the boards. We do everything we can do moderate the boards, but if you ever find one in game please send it to Riot in a support ticket so they can change it/apply punishment if necessary.

it didn't get banned for a whole year and i actually posted on the forums a lot with it and talked to rioters with the name, it wasn't until around march i think is when they banned the name. which is also around the time i noticed people dropping racial slurs left and right and not getting banned for it.
