My first ranked experience

I started playing LoL one year ago, but i sticked to normals waiting for my friend to reach 30lvl so we could play ranked together. Yesterday it finally happened, we queued, no argues in lobby, everything fine. While the game was loading i notices that everybody has at least mastery 4 on champs, we have one Silver (Fiora top) and one Plat (Annie mid), so I think "ok, will be fine". Then it all started, our jungler died to Red, ok it happens, then Annie was killed, she was first blood, said "fck this game" and went afk. Fiora died. I was supp and my friend got adc. We usually play pretty good, don't know what happend, maybe the fact that we have afk, or that it's our first ranked, but we got killed, then again when their jungler came. I was like "ok, we gonna play safe from now on, maybe Annie will come back". It was like 17min and Annie came back! Then Fiora started flaming her for afk and her response was great: "I wasn't afk, you were"... Annie started blaming everyone for everything, the flame was real. We surrendered, so there goes my first ranked game. One done, 9 to go :/

Oh, and I read a lot on borads about "AFK and Trolls problem on ranked" but didn't believe it. I thought it doesn't happen often in normals, so why should in ranked? Guess I was wrong. You guys also were right about secod supp/fill means supp :/

It's very normal to lose a lot of games when you first start playing ranked, because the matchmaking doesn't know what elo you belong at. Don't sweat it too much, you will eventually start having a 50/50 winrate again.

Wait so how was your experience any different than all the other games you have played? I didn't see the unique part.

In normals you see verbal toxicity more often because you tend to run into plat smurfs who have little tolerance toward those who are mechanically inferior.

In ranked you see trolls more often because that's where ppl might care about the game due to ranking/lp and would end up feeding trolls their delicious tears as trolls make them suffer.
