So near the end of the season, There has been a lot of people (and I mean a lot) with multiple inquiries about the honor system and season end rewards, so here are some FAQs!

Q: What is honor? and why is it here?

A: Honor is a new system introduced in season 7 to better express post-game honors and reward players with good behavior with rewards, which in turn, makes people want to have better behavior for legacy skins (some are NO LONGER obtainable through any events or means!).

Q: Will I get my season rewards?

A: You will get your season end rewards IF you are honor level 2 or higher.

Q: I’m level 0/1 honor, but I’m a good player, I deserve my skins!

Q: why do people have level 0/1 honor?

A: with the new introduction of the honor system, Riot announced that any player that receives any degree of ban (10 game chat ban, 20 game chat ban, 14 day ban, P E R M A ban) will have their honor reduced to 0.

Q: is it possible for me to get to honor level 2 in time for rewards?

A: based on player records, they played the same way they did after their ban, and it took them 2 month to get back to honor 2, you can try, but do not hurt yourself.

Q:Why do I need good behavior to get honor rewards? Don't i just need skill to get high ranks?

A: You do not need good behaviors! you just can't have bad behavior, no said you needed to progress in honor to get rewards, you just needed to not say or do anything that would cuase you a ban.

I also want to point out that currently honour caps at level 5. So to get a reward at level 2 is a pretty low bar. It's like they are literally letting you pass with a grade of F+, yet the amount of crying I see on this board is mind-boggling.

Not quite. A chat restriction only knocks you down to Honor 1 if you are at 2 or higher. This is explicitly stated both in the first article you linked and in the more in-depth FAQ here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008474148

A chat restriction knocks your Honor level to 1, or 0 if you're already level 1.
