What should one do in games where your teammates want you to kill yourself?

Tap out? Muting doesn't work because they'll grief you or ping-spam you (which you can't mute). Reasoning with them? All they'll keep saying is "GKYS". Report them afterwards? Nope, you've already killed yourself by then.

I wonder why Riot doesn't let players leave when they're being flamed like that.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I am the type who reads those "GKYS" messages and thinks "Wow, I don't know whether to laugh at you or sigh in disappointment at you". So no, I don't take them seriously.

My bigger issue is that people who flame you off the bat are the type who, if you mute them, will resort to griefing you (i.e. telling the enemy where you are, sabotaging your jungle camps, baiting you to make bad dives, etc).

Based on your responses no answer anyone gives you will be good enough.

Bottom line is saying it will lead to a perma ban on a account faster then anything else.

You can AFK if you really need to however if you afk consistently you will be placed in LPQ as you do have options of muting.

The best action is to Mute. Report. Move on.

I still say mute them. Just don't let them know about it.

Then report them at the end of the game.

you're a happy trigger easy target for those, ignore them which mean don't even reply and when match end write a nice essay.

Because ruining the game for 3 other people (and probably the 5 on the enemy team) is extremely inconsiderate of you. You have the ability to mute the player and then mute the ping sound. It's not ideal for pings but it still solves the issue.

Say something back in a way that's not swearing - just be sarcastic and talk down on them. And then mute them before they get the chance of typing something back.

Look at their deaths and ask them to show you how since they have it down pat XD that's what i do.
