Rito pls nerf toxicity

The toxicity in the game has evolved to hate speech and threats, can Rito please nerf.

Sadly riot can't nerf human behavior. Too many people see a person down, or a person whose feelings they've hurt, and instead of apologizing or trying to help the person who's down, they mock them, rub shit in their face, and harass them.

People suck, and Riot can't do anything about that.

You got my vote. In my short time on this account, I have seen homophobia, racism, anti-semitism, slurs against those who have mental and physical handicaps, and sexism. This toxicity has been in account names, in pre-game chat, in in-game chat and post-game chat. Some of the reports I have made have been dealt with - but some of them have been outright ignored - as I have seen that the accounts are still active. Sometimes names that are explicitly aimed at provoking hate against certain groups are not even touched.

This is not good, Riot. I thought that the company was supposed to be turning things around.

Feelsbadman getting derogatory slurs thrown my way when people in pre game lobbies see my name. Been a lol player for two years and it's never been as bad as it has recently, and it fucking sucks that I'm addicted or I've packed it up so hilariously long ago. Wish riot would find a way to actually fix this, too bad they're probably busy with oppressing the employees that were harassed.

Game is in a such a bad spot now that if they were much more harsh on toxicity, game would loose at least 15% of its playerbase

I agree as well. It’s insane how league has so much toxicity, People would give up and start blaming their teammates and just type instead of playing games. Like people have such weak mental.

True, but Rito does understand that some countries actually have certain parts of extreme speech illegalized.

Which is scary as fuck because its probably a matter of time till they start legislating language in America. Yikes.

Riot does have zero tolerance for hate speech, and it results in a 14 day ban. They believe in people not actually meaning what they say (naturally, people will say all kinds of offensive shit they dont actually mean) and giving them a second chance. Thats why i say they probably wont get any harsher than that. Do it once, 14 day ban. Do it again, permanently banned account. Thats harsh enough imo.

If rito actually enforced rules then I would say a good 1/10th of the current LoL population would be banned, probly more.

Well i completely understand not wanting to spend time on the forums, but if you did, you would see that Riot punishes players all the time. A very small amount of players actually use the forums, yet dozens of threads everyday here are from punished players trying to get public opinion on their bans. Riot definitely enforces their rules man. Theres no question about that. They may not be as harsh as you wish they were, but thats just an opinion, and thats fine if its your opinion. But to imply that they dont enforce their rules is just ignorant.

I'd say I've reported a good 100+ in the year or so I've played this game as long as I know only 2 people have been punished.
