With how often I see people asking how long it'll be before they are able to gain loot...

... I find it harder and harder to believe only 5% of the player base of the game is punished with bans/chat restrictions as Riot claims.

And I don't see the posts stopping any time soon.

Seeing as how 1. there are over millions of accounts/player for this game and keeping it simple we will just keep it at a million, of which 5% would only be 50,000, which seems realistic. 2. Not everyone uses the forums, so just because you see a bunch of people on the forums doesnt mean those are the actual number. 3. People will lie. how do you know the people actually claiming this on their account are actually telling the truth. This is why we ask for evidence for just about anything in this game and anything in life.

All in all the number doesnt really mean anything, you should only be worried about yourself. Are you toxic and this is why you are making a topic like this because you are scared you might lose out on something like this?

5 percent is not realistic even with the fact that the most annoyed will be the loudest while the quiet will just keep playing

that's BS and riot lyte has been known to lie quite a bit.

most of the statics you hear are false. Look at how they preached most of the fanbase would like dynamic queue yet I'll I've ever seen were people complaining about it and asking for strict solo.

27 million people log in to play at least one game a day with over 7.5 million players simultaneously during peak hours. That suggests you'd need to see somewhere from a quarter to a half of a million people posting on this board about restrictions to even get close to 5% punished. So far I've seen less than 1000 posts so I think we're doing good.

Edit: Found a more recent source at the Our Games page so updated my post.

I'd say it's more like 95% are punished with ban/chat restrictions, but only 5% are QQ'ing about it while the rest either know they deserve it or don't care as they make their new accounts.

5 percent of players are negative enough to recieve a chat restriction. im under the firm belief that while this number is probably technically the truth.

its more like this "75% of the playerbase is negative enough to recieve a restriction however you are one of the 5% who are negative in ways detectible by the automatic system. or are in bronze long enough to have your account bogged with false reports and when you finally get a real one. we'll ban you without any second chances"

People come to forums to complain. It's not at all crazy that you would see a high number of complaints about ANY issue.

If every single person who ever posted on the boards was punished I don't think it would even be 5% of the playerbase.
