Why do people even compare people telling people to kill themselves and that they're retarded to. "Why would you do that," or "reported " seriously?

They have different punishment weights.

It takes longer. It is based on severity AND frequency. So someone who is just a little bit of a dick but is so every game and doesn't stop after his 14 day ban will get banned. But the person threatening violence and cancer will get punished faster.
They both have to travel the full length of the punishments track, however. One is just doing so faster. Unless they vomit extreme hate speech, in which case they can jump forward
