Let us see our account status

I don't want to even touch my main until I'm off of sudden death status. The logs I've seen that have permad people on these forums are absolutely terrifying. I don't even want to risk pressing enter on it and have only been playing my smurf. The game is not nearly as fun if I can't dare bantering in all chat. And don't tell me that you can't get banned for harmless banter in sudden death. You're wrong. Mute all just feels like solitary confinement and it's depressing. So how about we get a private disciplinary status on our profile so we can know when it's safe to play our mains again without having to open a ticket. That would be useful information for people. It would also remind people every time they hit profile that they've been punished a while back and to keep watching their chat since it takes so long to decay tiers. It's pretty easy to forget that you got dinged 5 months ago and that you can still get banned so much later since Riot doesn't cut you any slack and is just waiting to pile on more punishment. Once toxic always toxic in their eyes, and they can't wait to ban you. So being able to see that their knife is still over your neck would be good.

Time alone does not drop your punishment level. You must play games, and be neutral or positive to make that occur. If you just stop playing on your account, and just sits, no changes to your punishment level occur.

If you dont play on your main, it will always be in sudden death state as the state decays based on games played.

Think of it like a music game's danger bar, if you pause the game, that bar stays in the same position until you play it to increase or reduce that bar.

It takes an average of 3 months of neutral play to drop a tier.

That slack is gone after you get a 2 week ban. It decays after playing non-negative games, an average of about 3 months-worth of regular play.

No, most players reform after being punished. It's a pretty low percentage that get punished and don't change their behavior.

Honor is a pretty good indicator that you're at least on the right path, although it's not definitive in letting you know your account is in good standing.

account activity + improved behavior = nothing

account inactivity = nothing

account activity + continued toxic behavior = ban

it's that simple.

the point isnt that you get rewarded for "playing nice"

it's that you learn on your own to not be a jerk to other players and the value of good sportsmanship.

there's an acceptable form of banter. most forms of banter are not acceptable and are in fact minor harassment.

the temporary restrictions are for reality checks, but if you're not able to grasp the ethics and morals that riot expects from you as a player then you will be banned. it's riot's game so riot can enforce the community standards they want for the most part. it's in their contract that they make every new player agree to.

the only way to avoid being permanently banned on your account is to actually understand the behavior that riot expects from you as a player and then to project that behavior outward in an honest display. by doing that you will improve your chances of not being banned.

the reason why there are so many myths about getting banned is because it's case by case. some people just cant figure out the culture and are immediately banned. others try their hardest and the person that reviews their case gives them a second chance.

from the way you communicate with others and the way that you aggressively and accusingly ask questions im going to just go ahead and tell you the truth. you're probably never going to be safe to go back onto your main because you cant comprehend the behavior that is expected from you.

[sg-soraka] so... good luck?

Hard to argue with you when it seems like you already strongly disagree with what qualifies as punishable behavior.

I don't have any Official sources, but I can say that regularly getting honors and staying out of trouble DOES/CAN improve your account's status, while your account status stays the same from sitting over time. It's finally perma banned, but I had at least 5 chances(chat restrictions/another 14 day ban) after my first 14 day ban and it's thanks to constantly playing with a positive attitude and getting at least 2 honors every match... Yes... I'm probably the most toxic non toxic player
