trolls own this game

trolls can decide if you win or lose a match. trolls can decide to get you banned if you get mad at them in chat.

the toxic behavior system is a joke, and never takes context into account.

"oh hey is this guy cursing at this other dude who quit 5 minutes in and has been trolling since? BAN THE GUY WHO'S CURSING"

"oh hey look this guy in a game with a 4 man premade is cursing at his whole team because they ignore him/antagonize/blame him for not being a part of their premade, they then beg other team in post game lobby to report and coordinate their story so it looks like YOU were the one harassing and get 9 report. CAN'T HAVE THAT BANNED FOR BAD LANGUAGE"

games have always had a toxic element in their community. know why its so incredibly bad in games like overwatch, league, and hots? because riot and blizzard both heavily police their communities to the point of permabanning people regularly. and guess what the playerbase starting doing with that info once they informed people of bans/suspensions? started using the report feature for people they just don't like, and scheming in how to get people banned.

i mean, fuck man one of the top posts in this board is a guy posting logs after a 2 week ban of someone tricking him into saying kys.

tell me again, that bad words are the problem, when people suddenly decided that report buttons do way more damage than words ever did to leaguers.

edit; before people try and say that im talking about me with these situations, i'm not. i've seen it happen to people, on top of happening to me as well a few times. not gonna say thats why i got banned, because i truly got unruly, but these situations are a given to happen 3/10 games played. more so if you're in ranked.

Trolls may have some control over winning, but they have no control over someone getting banned.

Additionally, the tribunal system from way back showed that a majority of leagues community voted to punish regardless of context, that data is what shaped today's system.

And finally, if you look at that top post you'll find that riot is more than willing to reverse falsely placed bans, and will own up to it on the boards.
