Why do trolls get punished less than toxicity?

I personally dont care if you rage at me in game, i'll laugh it off, but if you play ap lucian mid, just know you ARE elo hell and i will soraka jungle so someone dodges.

This is my first season and it blows my mind this kind of thing exists, and when you complain you get called a "slave to the meta"

"Oh you dont want an azir adc? well too bad"

Elo hell doesnt exist because of riot, it exists because of the community.

How is this not considered gamethrowing?

And I strongly agree with OP, you can put a toxic player on ignore... you can't ignore a guy that goes AP Trundle mid and goes 0-12 before 20 minutes.

Who says it isn't game throwing? You are assuming that because one is easier to catch means that other types of ban able offenses are not taken seriously when they are. When someone is toxic in chat that's the all evidence you need. Whereas someone "trolling" could mean just about anything. Plus it needs intent. Someone could be trying something new, playing off meta. I mean you guys praise when pro-players does off meta stuff like this all the time, but the moment regular players does it, only then is it considered trolling. People need to make up their mind! You can do all that while trying to win the game!

the guy first picking ap lucian mid in my elo is not about to go MLG 360 noscope 420 blaze it faker im pretty sure.

especially when they open with "bro im gonna ap lucian mid LOL"

I've just noticed if i end up reporting someone for toxicity (which doesnt happen that often) i occasionally get a "thank you blah blah blah tribunal" message.

Never once have i gotten one for reporting an intentional feeder, or one for reporting clear trolls just picking an idiotic lane for the sheer joy of passive griefing.

You need to remember that things like this need time. Of course you wont see a message every time especially on something that needs investigation. How you feel getting ban for going off meta once (which im sure everyone has) its idiotic and would just get innocent people getting ban. Also i cant really comment on your particular situation because i dont have any evidence and just going off what you are only saying!

old thread but idc if you play something interesting, i care about intent, if your intent is to have fun with something at least viable, okay. but if your intent is to troll absolutely, no one wants 30 minutes - an hour of their life wasted.
