This is why I hate the meta

Before I begin, i just want to say that the meta is not all bad and is not something people just make up. It's created from what works the best hence what meta means. Most effect tactic available. That being said, I hate the meta and I hate low skilled players worshipping it without understanding why people do what they do in the meta.

Here is a really great example of when meta does not help especially in lower skilled elo games. I am playing a game where im top, there is 2 top, a jungle, and 1 bot. The other guy came top with spell thieves. Mid and jungler is flaming for the instalock top laner who has spellthieves and is basically doing everything a support does bot except doing it at top lane to go bot lane. Meanwhile our tryndamere is bot as adc and most likely this tryndamere is new because trynd is free this week to play. Trynd is 1v1ing jhin because their zyra support is afk, which is not really a hard match for trynd. This is why you don't see jhin going top to counter trynd, or at least in my experiences, as trynd i can easily dominate jhin's immobility and squishyness as trynd with his crits, slow and ad decrease, spin damage and gap closer, and undying ult. Anyhow, it was an even match bot nevertheless because both sides were just farming and no one is one sidely stomping the other. But the jungle and mid are constantly flaming the top support when it was a 4v5 and us being the 5 so it made really no difference because it was 1v1 bot lane and we were winning top lane 2v1. Our mid laner lux decides to go bot and help out the trynd, but doing so she leaves mid completely opened. Our yi jungle eventually goes to cover, but it's just irritates me that the lux would leave her lane just to go bot when it's already 1v1 bot because their zyra is afk. I think the only reason she went bot is because the lux player is stuck in the mentality of there has to be 2 people bot because there's usually 2 at bot despite the situation being different since it was a 5v4 game. Leaving mid opening or making the jungler cover mid just because lux thinks there needs to be 2 bot even though it's a trynd vs jhin bot lane is a terrible idea. I have to repeat myself but the thing is, trynd and jhin are both 1v1ing bot, they don't need lux to go support when its a 1v1 just because it's typically 2v2 bot lane. Lux ends up dying to jhin a couple times and soon trynd because jhin gets fed and is ahead on levels. I just really hate when players are stuck on a narrow mindset and don't adapt to the situation just because the lcs doesnt do it or the meta doesnt call for it. Another quick example, there is an afk on our team, jungle decides to just jungle and support continues to support and have an opened top lane or opened mid because he called jungle and doesnt need to cover another lane and support needs to support the adc only.

TLDR Long story short. Yes the meta is not all bad, it's good. But there are times players need to adapt where playing by the meta no longer applies for the current situation.
