Negative players

Just had a game where pantheon was losing top and constantly saying to ff. The first 2 times the team denied so he was saying better just ff next time to which he would just sit back behind towers and not even put effort in helping to defend the tower because all he would do is walk up and down behind his own towers at that point. He says give up because jax is too op and fed. After game, his laner udyr who beat him was saying it was my fault that since he was getting dived under tower that I should have helped him despite being bot lane with no teleport.... He says "LEAVING SOMEONE WHO CAN'T EVEN HIDE UNDER TURRET FROM HIS LANE OPP TO CONTINUE TO BE DOMINATED WITH NO OPTIONS IS GIVING UP ON HIM" because he says i gave up on pantheon since pantheon had a bad game getting dived and killed despite building ad and being squishy dying top lane. I respond saying I did not give up because I was trying my best. He then says "I give up, its not getting thru your thick head what came first". The words in quotes I copy pasted what he last wrote to me in post game. Did I do something wrong or is either of the two (pantheon and or udyr) negative?
