can we get punished for ip farming?

feeding the enemy team and going afk so they push mid and win as fast as possible. if all 5 of us agreed upon this strategy, is it against the rules?

Both Intentionally Feeding and Leaving the Game/AFK are punishable offenses (oftentimes, permanent suspensions). I'd highly recommend against doing either of those things.

You can, but the enemy needs to agree to it too. You might think they are ok with an easy win, but it's probably not any fun for a lot of people. Even if they all do agree, don't afk or you'll get hit by Leaver Buster, and don't feed because you can get hit with Feeder Detection.

TBH I don't know how riot would handle this, but I know I would be both reporting and submitting a detailed support ticket if I ever saw it happen. Games have 10 players, not just 5. IMO this is just trolling opponents.

Why not just play the game? Is IP really so valuable to you that you are willing to completely just throw away any real enjoyment playing the game to get a few IP?

This right here is a perfect example of why we cant have nice things.

I wouldn't risk it. Considering you're asking this question, you're perfectly aware that you are exploiting a feature in an unintended way. And that's the kind of thing that can get you banned in many games; regardless of whether there is a rule against the specific method or not.

Yes. Also, it doesn't work. IP gain does not work that way.

I'd say yes. Because there is bots you can IP farm on. Also the biggest reason would be the enemy team can report you guys for playing unfairly. Even if your whole team agrees on this notion you can not stop enemy team from reporting you and wasting their time. Remember there is 5 other players who want to play vs people who are trying to win. If they wanted push overs they can play bots as well. Its ment to be a pvp experience not a one sided joke game. Just my opinion on that tho.

Last time people were sending 5 mid and feeding and /all dont end until 15 minutes please me and my group of 4 other friends were ecstatic! We had the 5man group ip boost, along with timed and win boosts all stacked. So a free 15 minute win was very welcomed especially since we were only playing 5 man normals for the insane IP boost.
