For a game that wants to stop toxicity, it doesn't make any sense for them to allow /taunt. Taunting is negative and the only purpose for it is to harass other players.
Why is /taunt allowed? What does /taunt add to the game? And how can League really stop toxicity if they are promoting it with /taunt?
Because without /taunt and /laugh Singed would need huge compensation buffs. Kinda like Morde and Rylais.
Why doesn't everyone in life forever and always walk around in a full body pillow suit so no one can ever hurt them in any way, shape or form.
Taunting ones enemy into a blinding rage has been a tactic used for thousands of years. Why wouldn't I want to put my opponent into a frenzied stupor so that they kill themselves and save me from having to do it myself?
/taunt does not promote toxicity anymore than me auto attacking you promotes toxicity.

Aside from the obvious one, to tilt, adding things like taunts and jokes add more to the character you're playing. New Ryze's taunts and jokes give you the idea he's a major smart ass. Stuff like that.

I agree. Even mastery emote serves no purpose other than to harass and annoy other players. i hope you guys realise bronze 5 negative 9000 lp players have mastery 7 on champions.
It is odd, because Riot will ban you for "gg ez" claiming that its unsportsmanlike/negative.
Riot's taunts are rather tame. Big difference between YOU DENY THE DARKNESS IN YOUR SOUL, YOU DENY YOUR POWER coming from Vgar and HAHA EZ MONEY CHUMP!!! typed in. Further riot characters taunt other riot characters They don't say YOU SUCK SUMMONER!!! Garen says DARIUS!!! You're not a general, you're a butcher!!! Poppy Says Garen... I think you're the one!!
