So, recently, I came to the realization that relying on Rito to moderate players is sad. I should be standing up to toxic people. I do this by feeding my ass off.

In my mind, when someone on my team is toxic to me, I view continuing to try to work with them, and trying to win the game, as rewarding toxicity. Rewarding toxicity, or positively reinforcing it by letting them be toxic and win the game, is wrong to me, as it will show the toxic person that they can be toxic and be rewarded/ get away with it. So, i ruin their game by feeding my ass off. I actively punish the toxic players.

As I'm a jg main, i usually try to feed the toxic person's lane opponent, but, sometimes, i just feed the person on the enemy team who can carry hardest, either a hypercarry or assassin. I apologize to the rest of my team that wasn't toxic in advance. Is this right?

I apologize to them. I feel bad about it, but, not bad enough. I can't justify rewarding toxicity. A few bad apples always spoil the bunch, as they say.

You are punishing the rest of your team because you don't believe in the system, even though the system DOES work.

You are the asshole here, really.

the system punishes people for consistent negative behavior.

Keep it up and you'll be the one that finds themselves on the receiving end of the ban hammer. Play for yourself, to win. Then report the toxic person after the game and move on. You are not the police in this game, you are trying to be a vigilante who will get caught and punished.

When a person finds that the system of justice which they rely on (rito) is inadequate, it becomes necessary for them to pursue nautral justice ( trolling toxic people).

I do play for myself. Then after the game i report them and move on.

No, this is not how it works. They gave you tools to mute and ignore people that are being jerks. Use them. You do not make your own rules in the game. You either follow Riot's rules or they will suspend your account for continuously breaking them.

I do mute them. Maybe "feed my ass off" was a bit misleading. I just give someone who carries hard a few kills, then i basically farm afk and try to 1v1 members of their team, without focusing any objectives. It's a video game, and i play it to have fun. I wouldnt have fun if I was trying to help a toxic person win.

I'm not making my own rules.

You may think you are "teaching them a lesson " but

A. Its not your place B. If you don't care about rank. Don't play ranked. C. Trolling "toxic people " makes the game unfair for the people who arent being toxic. And all you're doing is sinking to their level. Also, many "toxic" people have become so due to dealing with people like you who think its their sworn duty to keep them in bronze D. If i were a rioter. I would have permabanned you based on this post alone.

I generally try pretty hard in the game to win untill they start to flame me. Once they do, i dont care if im in my promos to get out of bronze, i throw. I would like to be silver again, but, its not that big a deal to me. I need to be happy at the end of the day, wherever my rank is.

And, sometimes "sinking to their level" is necessary. You can't bring a knife to a gunfight, you gotta fight fire with fire.

Assassins are shit at carrying, try feeding the enemy ADC or "tank" that does damage because people can't deal with them -> Darius Hecarim Irelia

i don't care that im bronze. I've shown ways that the ranked system is broken/ may not be perfect, and my arguments are just ignored, so I've come to the conclusion that ranked, while a general determinant of skill, is not the final say in it. Also, as evidenced by my post, i'd rather ruin a toxic person's game than rank up.

You do it because you can't rank up. Trust me you would not do this crap if you were in Diamond 1. And I am not blaming you, cause I am unranked and proud of it, just understand that there's no need to be a grumpy low life bronze player forever.

I'm not grumpy. I'm playing ranked because people don't take normals seriously enough and do really stupid shit. But, i don't care about my rank. If i played all meta stuff and never did this, i probably could rank up. I was s2 in season 4, the first season i was in ranked. I didnt understand what warding was then, nor could i last hit, rotate, have map awareness, and do many other things well. I can now. I got better, but my rank went down. That's lead me to the conclusion that rank is not a definitive measure of skill.

Putting it simply. You need to correct this mentality. Or you need to fucking uninstall. You arent going to correct anyones behavior this way. Only make them even saltier for the next person who has to deal with them.
