Message to toxic players

The toxicity has been extreme since the new season.

heres an example of the toxicity I've been faced with

Talon: rep yi Talon: gg yi noob Talon: you guys sucked Talon: yi was worse Talon: report yi pls Talon: get out of my lane x10

To the people who were toxic last game and know who you are, I want you to know, you're better than this. You can be a better person, and I just hope that you would realize that. nobody is naturally evil, and we were all born good people. I know that sometimes LoL can be frustrating but it's no reason to make someone's day even worse by being toxic to them.

I reported you not because I want revenge, but I want you to know that your behavior is not acceptable, and that it's up to you to change your behavior. Riot can do everything they want to stop toxicity but if the community doesn't want to change the community will stay toxic. Only you can make this game a better place.

Sadly your average toxic player is young and/or highly immature and arrogant, and has no idea that they are the problem. They actually believe everyone else is toxic and they they are completely justified.

Inevitable chat restrictions tend to educate all but the worst cases, but they are just replaced by legions of new angry children.

The problem is when they get chat restricted they blame Riot and everyone else.

But I'm still going to try to get through to them, that only the toxic people stopping being toxic can fix the community.

They will always blame someone else. This is why Riot bans people who continuously breaks the rules. Hopefully then will they learn, but in most cases (as ive seen) they will continue to blames others. Then it leaks into the real world, and we get what we are seeing now in how people are acting.

Yes, Riot can ban them. But the problem with banning is that there will always be a new wave of toxic people after the first wave get banned.

The only way to actually stop toxicity is if the community works together to discourage this behavior, and toxic people learn that their toxicity isn't helping, and other bystanders stop encouraging toxicity.

Honestly, chat ban is not good idea. What happened to the test that players would have to play X normal games before they can return to ranked?

Normals becomes a prisoner island and is unenjoyable for the nontoxics there.
