Always.

I literally have not gotten one of those messages in years. I've lost a lot of faith in the ban system

You might be doing too many reports for too small offences or maybe even too many false reports.

System tags your reports as unreliable when you do that, diminishing their weight.

Marshbouy3 votes

I think that's ridiculous if that's the reason why. I've only been reporting truly toxic people (so once every few games) for over a year and I have yet to get a card.

DwainTheRock1 votes

Not pretending I know your report patterns but maybe you add too many checks your reports.

For example, if the guy is tilted, says "ggwp" at 15 minutes and then spams the surrender vote every chance he gets until 30 minutes into the game... but then that's all he does, that's "bad attitude" report worthy, but if you add "hate speech" and "intentionally feeding" to the report, that's a false report.

Marshbouy2 votes

My report pattern is almost exclusively

Hate speech Called me a %%%

or

Bad attitude Flamed teammates the whole game

I never check things that don't apply, but it seems that it's irrelevant because it was removed from the game.

nah you're good. they removed report weight a long time ago. every report does the same thing as any other now.

RainbowIcee2 votes

is there any evidence that such limitations exists?

DwainTheRock1 votes

Not that I know of... it's just what I heard and it made sense to me but I can't prove that.

report weight used to be a thing but its not anymore

This used to be the case However hidden report weight was eliminated with the introduction of thr IFS according to tantram

Report weight does not exist, so the number of reports doesn't matter for IFS.

I haven't received one of those messages in more than a year now either and I think and I am reporting at least one person per evening on average, so the only thing I can think is your second option: that I have been blacklisted as a false reporter for some reason and my reports do nothing. I just "love" that. None of my RL friends have gotten that message in that time either and they play and report pretty much as often as I do (One little more, one little less).

So, even if report weight doesn't exist, black list of false reporters is most likely reality. This is given some more weight by the fact that Riot still has not fixed their IFS FAQ "mistake" mentioned here.

Sorry, but this is incorrect information! Tantram confirmed that there are no more report weights nine months ago. Click the name for the source of the quote:

1 - yes, this is normal. You only get notifications on penalties related to your reports for verbal abuse and intentional feeding currently.

2- No, there are no report 'weights' anymore.

3- No, bot reports are used. You are certainly not wasting your time.

DwainTheRock1 votes

Oh my bad then, didn't know about that.

It's just that I get these "Citizen ! Your report led to an arrest !" messages kind of often so I though... well you know.

Good to know though ty.

You're welcome! That's good, it seems like you're doing your part in reporting bad behavior! :D Another not-so-well known fact about the IFS is that it doesn't send players notifications if their successful report is not one dealing with toxicity or intentional feeding.

They dropped report weight awhile back. I'm not sure if it was when they scrapped Tribunal or when they instituted IFS, but now any reports will flag a game for review. If anything is punishable it then checks severity and account history for what, if any, level of punishment will be applied.

Master Noct2 votes

Oh man, I get these so much, feelsgooddude.

Hextech OwI1 votes

Well, feelsbadforyou :/ If you get a lot of these it means you play with a lot of toxic players :/

Master Noct1 votes

Oh yeah, but it just gives me a chance to report them all and help a little if I can.

Lightning I1 votes

They do that?

Hextech OwI2 votes

Seems like they do.

There was one player that used a slur and called me a %%%got. Then his friend was like "that's not offensive and I come from a black family". Few arguments later and the match ends. I report him and dodged a game after. waited in lobby for 5 minutes and while watching a youtube video I get the message. I was thinking to myself, good job Rito.
