Player told me 'kys' in postgame lobby.
I reported him for this. Riot has access to postgame (and pregame) chat, correct? I shouldn't need to contact player support?

Pre and post game chat is reviewed with rhe system. Should be fine if the report came after they said kys. You can fill our a tidket if you think it would ease your mind. Remember you don't always get notified when someone is punished.
Yeah, that is a no tolerance phrase so he/she most likely got punished off that single match.
You're getting a lot of uninformed comments in this thread. Riot tracks pre-game, game and post-game chat logs now when you report players. It is not okay to say anything offensive and harmful to players at any point in this game. If you forget to report them in the lobby, send in a ticket, riot will investigate and if they find your accusations to be true, they will take action despite not telling you. If you're really skeptic just op.gg the person's account and see if they're still playing.

Contacting player support regarding a player flaming you (pre-in-post game, doesn't matter) won't do anything anyways, wouldn't bother with that. They'll tell you to use ingame report system and that they "can't disclose actions taken". But they won't take any actions. On the other hand, they react to reporting abusive/inappropriate nicknames, so at least there's that.
