Creating a "negative experience" for your teammates isn't necessarily YOUR fault as a player!
Ever support a
who kept turret diving and blaming you? Heck, ever queued up as a jungler and had all three laners go 0/3 in the first five minutes and they all blame you?
With the latest meta/non-meta controversy, I think it's time we recognize that "creating a negative experience for your teammates" is a pretty silly offense.
Let's be honest: This community is overwhelmingly selfish, horrible, and likes to blame their teammates for EVERYTHING.
It should NOT be up to the "community" to decide what is ban-worthy, based on "negative experience". To many players, a "negative experience" is any game where they personally don't get 5 pentakills in a row while their 4 teammates shower them with compliments on how godly their Yasuo is.
To most people, a "negative experience" is any game they lose. I've even had many games where our team was overwhelmingly winning, but one person was mad that they, personally, were doing poorly and constantly threatened to report everyone.
I think the report system should be limited to things like intentional feeding and hatespeech harassment. The community should NOT get to decide what people play in Solo Q. The whole support/adc meta wasn't even meta until Fnatic did it in the early days.
What about bot lane Ziggs? Support Malz? Smite/Support Ivern?
It's time for Riot to recognize that many players are creating a "negative experience" for THEMSELVES just by having an angry attitude about a video game.
Oh, and as for "not communicating with team"...
Has anyone at Riot ever tried actually TALKING to their teammates in a Solo Q game?
"Hey guys let's focus dragon"
"fuk u and ur mom"
"lmao i smoek weeed"
"kys noob"
(By the way, this level of intelligent discourse is NOT limited to low elo. If you watch any Plat/Diamond streamer, check the chatrooms - toxicity is the same regardless of rank. Most players don't realize this, and falsely assume high elo players are more mature and less toxic.)
I don't think many players in this community are worth talking to. And I don't believe a single player should be held responsible for "creating a negative experience" for a community which is overwhelmingly hostile and selfish.
Being a hostile selfish person guarantees that every aspect of your life will be a "negative experience". Like everything in both League of Legends and life, you have no one to blame but yourself.
EDIT: Huh, being downvote spammed. Fine, but It's still the truth - the majority of you LoL players are all hostile and selfish, and I'll call you out on it no matter how much you downvote me.
