Hey Lyte, do high tier players get special treatment?

Ok, I play mostly normal games. Because of that, my normal mmr tends to put me in teams with diamonds and plats. Hell, I'll even get challengers in my games

My games for the most part have no toxicity. But every once in a while, every 20-40 games I run into complete maniacs. What kind of maniac? Take this as an example, a d3 Diana who gets pissed at me for not trying to counter gank her lane because she was pushing lane; her response, I'm going to feed 20 kills for15 minutes and tell players in all chat about how the jungler is being toxic.

Now I was not being negative or toxic so I knew those reports if any would mean nothing. But if she ends the game with 0/20/0 not even get a simple ban or chat restriction? My friend did this in a game with me and j reported him, he got banned. This diamond player? Nope

That is not special treatment for different ranks. That is the result of punishments being based off more than 1 game. So that game with your friend was his final straw, but the game with that diamond 3 was not his.

Find me a game where you've been matched with a challenger...

And no, higher elo peep don't get special treatments.

I think that the only group that gets preferential treatment are positive players. Not even Rioters are excempt from the Player Behavior systems that work in the game.
