humanity is insane ?

So i see in twitch chat during LCS as well as on forums, news, media, twitters, and even in league, people act with out honor, compassion, patience, and they are constantly overwhelmed by their hate and racism for others, as well as other traits or conditions deemed "negative or unhealthy".

What is happening to this world ? i study many forms of education in college, and it seems that primarily Americans are ill informed on their country's history, as well as humanistic values like fairness, honor, compassion, common sense, taking responsibility for ones own actions feelings thoughts experiences.... and also tend to blindly be obsessed with happiness and making it in life (setting harsh expectations in themselves)

I see in league that people are obsessed with winning, they usually go into hate and anger when they start losing or having problems in the game. People just invest too much of themselves in games, and when they start losing, they feel diminished and get hateful because of that.

Toxicity is on the rise all over the world. It's like a mind disease or lack of mental humanistic education for living and dying properly.

Does anybody think (philosophically) about where the human race is headed ..and how we can avoid destruction, self annihilation, and end toxicity ?

I actually dont think twitch chat is that toxic. Occasionally you will see people say something offensive but mods will remove the comment and time them out pretty quick. Twitch chat is mostly just memes and punch lines. If someone swears on stream the chat will spam "FINED", People will spam 4Head when someone laughs loudly or makes a bad joke, people spam Kappa 's when they see a sign in the crowd, people spam HeyGuys when someone waves to the camera, they spam TTour when the camera guy makes a mistake, etc. I actually think it's funny and all in good taste. Possible the only offensive thing they do is spam "RAP GOD" when someone is speaking any language other than English lmfao.

As for the broad statements you are making about man kind becoming negative and toxic; kind of foolish. Youre focusing on a small demographic and assuming all humans are the same. Gamers > League of legends players > Toxic league players. A tiny sliver of humanity and a terrible sample size.

But what yo uare experiencing probably has something to do with the technological and individualistic ways the world has become. People are more selfish and lonely now more than ever. People lack face to face communication as it's mostly replaced by technology. Also people want to be sucessful individuals rather than see the world become a better place.

This is why I'm so introverted, it isn't even funny. About a week ago I decided to attempt getting some sun, and was berated by my neighbor because my lawn had weeds. I didn't say anything to begin with...Could just be my area honestly... ramble... ramble...

Anyways, with the state of the world entering the tech age of anonymity, the expectation of repercussion is diluted severely behind a keyboard. Ah, the times I wished I could reach through the screen to slap someone for their extremely hateful speech... Maybe they would think twice. Reminds me of other sports and the like, where the fans go to riot ing, as if they had made a difference whatsoever in the outcome of the game. I mean, its just a game, holy cow. Puts the meaning of fanatic to its true meaning, I suppose.

In the end, there is no solution. There is always going to be a different opinion, and there will always be someone who takes exception to that opinion. Such as the meaning of life. A viscous cycle.

These are just my 2 cents.

I would argue that the conclusions you are making are a bit premature. I would argue that many in society are very well informed about their countries history along with other ethos that you described in your second paragraph. The difference is, they don't care.

Personally, I think this has to do more with the internet being a antipersonal "society". Meaning that we, as people on the internet, don't feel a personal connection to one another through a screen than we would in real life. It's easier to devalue someone who you aren't within speaking distance of. There are exceptions to the rule of course, think of pure online relationships or the movie Her, but for a majority of people this is the case.

I think that there are people, deep down, who are racist/homophobic/insertnegativetraithere but didn't have a way to express it. Think if it like hypnosis, the short of it is, when we do or say something under hypnosis, that's what we're actually thinking without a filter, sort of like being drunk. For example, my brother for his Senior prom had a hypnotist. When the hypnotist said it's getting really hot in here, his 58 year old teacher started to take her clothes off. Ordinarily she would never do something like that, and really no one wants to see that, but because she was under hypnosis that is what she wanted to do. That's why, when I went to prom, there was a cat fight over what one girl said about another calling her a fucking slut etc. That's what she really thought, but she would never say it to another girl's face. In the same way, the internet acts as this catalyst of anatomy giving anyone a reason to take off their filter to be who they truly want to be.

As far as the raging and getting obsessed with winning, that's something that has been going on for generations, but thanks to the internet, it's now become personal. For example, I have a friend who whenever the Green Bay Packers lose, he takes that Monday off of work because he's too depressed to go to work the next day. When I was a kid, I would cry every time the Vikings lost a game (this happened quite frequently). For generations, mostly guys, have yelled at their TV on game day, now we see the same thing but it is becoming more personal since instead of watching pros play a game, its you vs another.

But that's just my take on it.

Thanks for the comments. Yes i am a big of a egotistic perfectionists. I stay away from a lot of people in my town community, and even my family sees me as "mentally ill". I just want to say that -

yea humans are becoming more evil as we go into the future. What is evil ? you could say every person is unique but i find evil to be - nasty - like anger, hate, fear, doubt, despair, greed, glutting, and a host of other negative traits.

The reason for my original post is that in league of legends, i find negativity everywhere. (in ARAM in ranked even in blind pick) Co-Ai is the only mode where people are relaxed mostly. But this is not league of legends alone - i seen in world of warcraft, people are crazy, angry, trollish on /2 trade and generally they are anxious, bored, uneasy, and the AH is greedy and selfish.

I am not perfect, but i use my common sense, and my feelings in my heart , not my logic cold rational masculine male mind. So i can be calm sometimes when things go wrong. But i see so much toxicity in video games, media, news, the world, the internet, forums, and also in churches college, parties, clubs, and even work places.

It seems for this world, humans are becoming more disrespectful to each other and too life too.

FOR LEAGUE i was thinking that maybe if we add people to a (unlike list) we don't get into games with them. I know my list would be huge, would lengthen Q times but it could help.

Also people say gold is bad in ranked, but gold has the highest majority of played champions in that tier. Diamond and up only sees about what ...30 of the same champions played, due to mix max ?

Yes i see humanity is becoming insane. A mental disease of sorts. But that is my opinion. Thanks for you all guys opinions i can see love and common sense in you guys :) ttyl

We don't have a naruto in our world to rid all the hate, and we're unlikely to get one.

Our best hope is for matrix to be invented so we can each live in our ideal virtual world #infinitetsukuyomi
