[GAMEPLAY] Snowball luden's echo aram

I just wanted to know if this is intentional. I play aram a lot and some casters rush Luden's echo so when they cast their summoner spell "snowball" it hits one of us and expels the charges of Luden's echo. I don't know if this is intentional, but i like it and hate it.

I like it obviously (greedily) because it provides some cheap free damage, but also i am a fair practical person. I know it is most probably a bug, but may not.
