Have you reported someone for less-than-noble reasons? (poll)
Note: This is NOT a poll asking only if you've false reported people. This asks if you've ever reported anyone for a reason other than improving the community or bringing justice. I will detail the choices below, please read.
If more than 1 of these apply to you, select the bottom-most on the poll that you said yes to.
If you want to discuss your own choices you can post, otherwise it's anonymous.
Your poll Choices
- It was a legit report but I only reported them because I was angry at them for a personal insult/insult to a friend/duoQ partner. If the toxic player had been toxic to another teammate and not me (or my duo partner or friend), I might not have reported.
- It was a legit report but I nitpicked some minor stuff because I didn't like the person and wanted to get them into trouble.
- It was a legit report, but I was also being toxic in the game where I reported someone for being toxic. My toxic action was different than the person I reported's toxic action.
- Pick this if you said yes to #3 but your toxic action was exactly the same as the guy you reported's.
- It was a legit report but I instigated/baited them into doing the reportable action.
- I changed the category of report. For example, they were AFK but I reported them for verbal abuse instead (most likely because I believe that verbal abuse brings punishment faster than other report options)
- I false reported someone because I didn't like the person's off-meta pick.
- I false reported someone because I needed someone to blame when we lost a game.
- I false reported someone for any other reason.
- Never. I only report people truthfully for the purpose of improving the community and bringing justice.
I'm just doing this poll to see the reasons that the majority of the community reports people for (or at least what they think they report for. I know a few toxics who think that they're doing the world a great thing by reporting random people they think are making them lose the game).
