I just want to share some hopefully good vibes and perspective.

So as I type this, I just got out of a game where we got pretty much roflstomped. The enemy literally could not stop talking (bragging/insulting) for literally (really literally, no exaggeration) 2 seconds after they got a few kills. I either ignored them or responded maturely because I didn't want to get even more tilted. I swallowed my pride and just thought about things rationally.

During the course of this game, it really made me think just how addicted so many people are to this game. I am certainly guilty of it. But even in ranked mode, the fact that a lot of people think LoL is the end-all, be-all of the world and if you're not Faker, you deserve to rot in a hole because they're playing for their Nana's life. If they don't win this and every other subsequent game, she gets a bullet to the head.

Like...okay, there, boy-o, calm down. We're in Silver (somehow....) and Bronze, if you're THAT absolutely mental, I think you really need to step back, get off this game and address your addiction.

Yes. ADDICTION. Some of us even have addictive PERSONALITIES (for me it was reading fact and trivia books, into catching red-tailed bumblebees, into writing storyboards into drawing dragons, into gaming) and I've finally been able to get a handle on how seriously I take things, WHATEVER I get super-focused on.

But, sadly, if you're not threatening to find out someone's personal address and killing them and their family foaming at the mouth at how a GAME dictates your entire life's worth...well, then you're just a baddie noob. Just...wow. Yeah, good luck with that attitude and narrow-minded thinking. Those horse blinds are going to get you into trouble and if you live anywhere rough & tumble, I hope you don't wind up unconscious in a back alley dumpster on garbage day because folks didn't like your yappy ego the night prior.

I only hope that more people can see things with the clarity I am truly grateful to have come across me. I was not in a happy place and while I'm still not at least I'm not absolutely miserable doing nothing but trying in vain to drag others down with me.

You might read this and think I'm acting all high and mighty as though I'm better than the lot of ya but I don't know how to convey the tone of my voice into text to really emphasis the fact I really don't want to fall back into old habits and I wish more people would really stop and actually care enough about themselves to do the same.

In any case, I know it's long and boring to read but I hope at least someone is able to gain some sort of perspective from this.

Thank you and goodnight because it's 3 in the morning and I'm ready to pass out. Cheers!

Oh, people try to win their ranked games. What a surprise!

Yep, you are exactly doing that.
