Is it possible to reverse a ban if the reporter sends Riot the request?

Let me explain my situation, I was playing a 5-man flex with my friends. It was going fine until I dced in lane and got killed in lane. Discord sometimes drops my frame rate and even dcs me, but it hasn't happened in a while, so I thought there was no issue. So to reconnect, I dced from discord and went back into the game. When I came back 30s later, I was dead and had to tp.

My friend was the jg this game, and he was chill about it until he was chased in his own jg by the midlaner and the toplaner. He died, and spam pinged me while I was clearing wave in my turret (and I can't help since I'm behind from the dc). He then proceeds to type "kys" in chat and proceeded to blame me for dying to my laner while i dced and not helping him in his jg. He was tilted obviously, but he decided to tilt me as well. Next time, he proceeds to invade topside while I was pushed and got killed, which he again spammed "kys" and blame me. At this point I snapped, because I felt unfair for this situation because of the dc. If I lost lane in a normal way, I will admit that it's my fault. And since this wasn't on discord, I did not see what kind of tone he used, because he claimed it was banter later. So I was done. I muted all and proceeded to continue the game. After that, I reported him at the heat of the moment, and his account got banned.

Although I still feel wronged, I don't want to ruin our friendship over a game. Is there a way to contact Riot to reverse it? The thing is, we jokingly say toxic things to each other on discord, and we will not be offended. This game, I was already tilted from the dc and because it was not on discord I treated him like a random player from flex, which is wrong. Now, I do agree that "kys" is too far, but I know the guy, and he doesn't actually wish harm on me. And he doesn't do this in other games with random players, only with people who will understand him. And this time, I didn't, so...

Yeah, so one thing I would ask is how I can contact Riot, I'm not sure if I can reach them by email or something.

If the chat was in team chat and you had a full 5-man, it might be possible, yes. Contact Player Support by sending them a ticket and (politely) explain the situation. I believe that it has happened at least once before, although it's possible that it isn't a consistent policy and that was a one-time thing.

Sounds like a well founded and strong friendship.

Yeah it's probably not gonna get it reversed, but it's worth a shot. Why not try.

well if he got perm banned then this is not the first ban that is all on him he should have been more careful with what he said this has happened to me before but the perm ban itself made no sense since i didn't really say anything wrong but defend myself so yeah
