The leaver buster cannot determine WHY you went AFK. Be it a crash, client issue, internet problem, gremlins in the lines, etc. It punishes everyone equally with the same punishement: longer queue times.
Just don't make a habit of it and you'll be fine.
Impossible for riot to look into (and verify) every claim of a crash/explosion/little sister unplugging the Ethernet.
So every afk is punished the same way.
