This is Toxic?!

**I wish they would show everyones conversation. Instead of just your own text. I would consider nothing said here to be toxic except the "pathetic" comment - which was in response. Do real people actually review reports before chat bans are given? Does League actually expect you to just "tuck your balls up and ignore / take the higher ground when someone is directly harrassing / insulting you? I come from a generation where you defend yourself - not "take the more mature route"

Here is the logs .... all &&& is explanation of what was being said.**

Game 1 Ganksta Yisus: pls stand at blue so ivern doesnt take it Ganksta Yisus: ty Ganksta Yisus: you seriously targetting ivern over talon ??? Ganksta Yisus: not that attitude ... pls

Ganksta Yisus: if you play bad in norms you play bad in ranked - not saying anyone is playing bad currently Ganksta Yisus: but its a straight truth Ganksta Yisus: it is the same amount of time wasted - ranked means nothing compared to time

&&& ** At this point I am explaining to him that regardless of ranked or normals - having a "just for fun, dont care if I win or lose" attitude is wasting other peoples time. Because, if you are here for fun .... Losing isn't fun. So lets all try to win.**

Ganksta Yisus: all ranked gets you is some stupid color around your avatar .... Ganksta Yisus: in about 2500 games I have met like 10 or so that saw it like that. Ganksta Yisus: they all had bronze tags all season long - not saying you are bronze - i have no idea.

&&& ** I even clarify multiple times that I am not saying anyone is doing or playing badly. Just carrying on a conversation.**

&&& ** Here is where he tells me I am bad yet again, and that my "wanting to win is pathetic" - at this point I am done being nice, so I call him pathetic ... its only like the 15th time he has called me pathetic or bad.

Toxic is toxic regardless of "who started it" or what the other players said. That is why only your own chat is shown, and only that is taken into consideration.

If someone else is being toxic, don't get into an argument with them because it only makes the situation worse and ensures it continues. If you just ignore or mute them the problem in chat stops there with you; this makes the experience better for everyone in the match including yourself, and you can't possibly be punished for that but the other person will be held accountable for their behavior.

If someone is trolling, giving them shit in chat is almost certainly not going to help, and they might just direct their toxic behavior towards you or act worse. Mute and report them and let Riot take care of it.

Report calling is a punishable offense.

And even without that, you spent ALL GAME LONG argueing with teammates, berating them belitteling them, and trying to gove them commands. That is FKIN ANNOYING for everyone else in the game (who most likely muted you from the get go) and lowered your teams chance of success.

Your punishment is deserved.

Did you actually read the log? I didn't berate anyone or belittle anyone. - to be honest I could really care less about the actual chat ban. I am just questioning how this could be considered toxic. I would consider none of this toxic.

I would say that it is really just as abusable. As another poster said "Just dont care what people think is toxic" - in reality this is where I am, and most of the community. I have never heard people being positive to each other in this game... I have never heard cheerleading "just try your best! You have this!" Ever lol....

I have 4 accounts that are lvl 30. If 1 account gets banned ... I just move to another .... if all 4 are banned .... I just make a new 1. The game is the exact same at lvl 4 as it is as 30.

I just think its funny how many little millennials we have running around trying to make the world "not mean" or "not toxic". 4

The proof is in your games - how often do you see toxic players? Do you see more toxic game chat or uplifting game chat?

Since it looks like you know how to write simple code, I will assume you also know basic statistics. Central Limit Theorem would lead me to believe that with N = 2500+ games played .... You and I are experiencing roughly the same chat type. I rarely if ever see up lifting chat. People don't take the time to type to be nice to each other - only to flame each other.

So if we are seeing roughly the same type of chat between members .... Then you proof is in your own game chats. Do you see more negativity ? If so - the community doesnt care.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason that you're seeing toxic chat in every single game is because it is actually coming from you? I mean you are the only one present in every single one of your games after all.

I don't see toxicity in many games at all. Your chat isn't the worst I have seen, but I still think it is punishable.

May be your elo, not sure. Silver and Bronze can be pretty bad at times, but last season in Gold I didn't see much toxicity at all.

It is low level toxic, you should have muted, but it isn't a game that would punish you. By itself.

The other game isn't much worse - though slightly - I told a feeder he was useless .... at the end of the game he was 1/14 - IE - useless. But I would consider that game slightly toxic - so I didnt even bother posting it.

A person can only take so much straight feeding before they are just like "fuck it" - I am sure you have been there yourself.

This may help you to understand. I was actually positive with a 5/3 K/D until they were at our inhib towers.

It's not so much what will help the game along ... but at some point it just becomes a waste of my time. If someone is going to feed like that - i'd much rather just move over to Assassins Creed - or go do some house work. I get bad play .... but to be like 1/10 at the 12 minute mark. But I get what you are saying. I wish I could just AFK at the point when teammates are feeding and saying "its only normals, my feeding doesnt matter" - If it doesnt matter, then let me go do something worth my time lol? Ya know what I mean?

Yea. It sucks. I understand. And if they are intentionally feeding, you report them afterward, and help keep the toxic down. But with a game like League, you can't really allow leavers.

I get that it sucks. I've had games like that where I was kept in the game by a pre-made who didn't want to surrender just to fuck with me.

It sucks. But cussing them out would only make it worse. So yeah, you kind f have to take the hot iron on your chest, grit your teeth, and bear it. But it doesn't happen a lot as people say. When it does, take pleasure in reporting them and contributing to their eventual downfall.

you dont always get chat logs from 3 games ( source: i was chat restricted just for 1 game , and now im suspended because i was "toxic " in 2 games )

Riot uses multiple games to decide an outcome and only shows some as examples of games where a player breaks the summoner's code. It's tempting to get baited by a troll or flaming premade into saying something "toxic" in retaliation to their toxicity but Riot will not spare the rod but instead will whip both parties. Besides, if an enemy reports you for something that their chat could not see on their side then their report goes uncounted if a team mate is lying for example. The best action would be to mute them and communicate via pings. And this is only one game of many. Riot doesn't use just one game and doesn't show the player every game but they usually show 3.

I willl give you great advice, mute all . You are prolly not toxic and a great guy, But Rito does not give a fuck , toxicity is commmunity based so if your teammates think you are toxic and will report you multiple times ( no matter if you actually were ) system will flag your games for simple words like bronze , fuck , bonobo , booosted etc. You shouldnt care at all their system sucks and everybody who has been punished knows that. All you will get on this boards will be people defending Rito system because they are insecure kids that report eveyrbody after the game. They think they are better because they dont curse in chat even tho there is a diffrence between "fuck me im boosted " and "fuck you you little bitch " does not matter. i highly advice you to not give a fuck or shit :D

I am strictly asking for this 1 game. There were 2 games in the behavior card. I am not questioning the other. But this 1 I am question as to how it is toxic.

As for me - I am telling the person on my team to just report me and stop talking to me. I actually dont really report ... it makes me feel like a 12 year old at school "teacher teacher ... timmy called me a name" - I only personally report for intentional feeding.

as I said in the OP - the pathetic was toxic - but the rest I dont find to be toxic ... if mentioning someones score is toxic - Riot should not have a billboard that says your KDA .... or consistently say "XXXXX's Name has been slayed by XXXXXX" That would be toxic then to call someone out for dying excessively

Your opinion on this doesn't matter.

When someone gets a ticket for speeding, we don't ask him wheter or not he thinks its okay to exceed the speed-limit, we apply an external set of rules to determine wheter or not hes guilty. That way, everyone is held to the same standard.

(And before you give me the usual "whaaaat but this is not RL whaaaat" - BS...only the severity of the actions are dissimilar, but the principles of the system are the same.)

In a similar way, the punishment system works. To a majority of the community (because the system learns based on the community reactions) your actions were toxic, so they **ARE **toxic, no matter what you may think.

With good reason, because morons would use it to be toxic juuuust up to the limit. They would still be abl to annoy people, without getting punished for it.

A certain amount of fear and uncertainty is a good thing here.

The system is less rigid than a written law, sure. But on the good end, its much less abusable.

This is why you don't buy RP / Skins. You never know what Riot will do. I don't invest any money whatsoever into this game. The ambiguous nature of their rules / banning practices makes the risk / reward of skins unattractive.

There was 1 other game - where I told an adc who was 1/10 and lower damage to champs end of game than our Soraka Sup. - That "you are terrible - try to start being fucking useful" - and that was the toxicness of the second game.

If you know that you have multiple games then you need to post them all. By intentionally withholding games from us you give the signal to people that you're hiding something, so it would actually be to your benefit to just post them all.

Above I explained that I was only posting 1 of the 2 - because I was not disputing the second one. I can also post that 1 too. The sucky thing is it doesnt show what teammates were saying too - but I will go and pull the card from my email. The 10 game chat restriction was over within just a few hours of being chat banned. So i no longer have the card in my client

Just mute / report next time and NEVER tell anyone your reporting someone. The system doesn't care how many people report someone 9x does the same as 1x so don't ask others to report either. And if you have a 1/15 troll or obviously boosted player that you just have to harass just say "you did really well teemo." he will know you are being sarcastic and it will look like positive chat in ritos system or you can not chat and ? spam.

Oh snap! I love your idea. From now on this is how I will talk shit. I will tell them they did really good -

"0/14 brotha - you are playing so well! If you play this game like this in your ranked matches you will easily climb the ladders! great work!"

This would look good in riots system since its not manually reviewed by a person right?
